15 Cadets from Jonesboro NJROTC competed in the Howler on Saturday the 20th. The Howler is an Annual Physical Competition hosted by Arkansas State University bringing in teams from all over the state. This year 48 ROTC programs competed in the 6.39 mile obstacle course with 13 different physical challenges. From flipping tractor tires to traversing a mudpit, to carrying a person on a liter, or pushing a humvee in excess of 11000 pounds forward 30 yards and back, and crossing a pond. Our cadets did the Hurricanes proud with a great showing. Hurricane Team 1 finished with an outstanding 7th place out of 48 teams. Hurricane battalion showing them we mean business. Go Canes!!!!

Jonesboro Public Schools JROTC and Cadet Core Cadets need your help for the holiday season. We are an official partner with the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, AR, to lay wreaths at the headstones of our fallen Veterans.
Last year, we exceeded our goal of laying 100 wreaths. This year, our goal is to be able to lay 175 wreaths for the holiday's, and we need your help. Wreaths will be set on Dec. 16th by JPS Cadets from Annie Camp, MacArthur and The Academies at Jonesboro High School.
You can help by going to our exclusive webpage, using the QR code, and purchasing a wreath for $17. Your purchase will provide one wreath for each headstone for our fallen heroes for the Holiday season. Please spread the word to all friends and family members, so we can never forget those who have served our great nation.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!!
