The stars always align around the middle of December. This week is no different and the hunting is fantastic. This picture is from Nick’s hunt yesterday, 12/12/23.

We have GOOSE DAY HUNTING only available 12/15-12/16, 12/18-12/23 open. Must book at least 4 hunters in a group.

We are completely booked at all the lodges, but we are still taking drive-in hunter bookings. If you want to come hunt, send us a message here or call/text 870-573-3002 and we’ll get you a deposit and on the calendar.

Classic Randy! Gun stripped apart in the field and he is panicked because he would never sleep if a snow goose got out of the spread alive! We all love to goose hunt around here, but this guy takes it to a different level. He hunts every day rain, shine, ice, snow, and even a hurricane one time in Texas teal. One of the last true Texas snow goose legends still in the game. Don’t let his age fool you! He outworks most 20 year olds.

It’s Puppy Time!

These AKC registered pups come from Third Coast Charro and one of Chapman's sons, Third Coast Dante.

The puppies have their first round of shots, their dew claws have been removed and they have been wormed.

We have puppies!! Randy's hunting dog, Charro, had 10 black Labrador Retriever puppies that will be six weeks old soon (AKC registered). They are the sixth generation of Randy's hunting dogs, starting with Chodney who he brought home in 1983. Randy has named his dogs through the years with a "Ch" - Chodney, Charlie, Chester, Chapman and now this new litter. Chodney (from 1983) was such a fine, intelligent dog that Randy kept one of his puppies and raised him to hunt, and then kept one of his son's puppies and raised him to hunt, and so on and so on and so on. Now it is 2023 (40 years of smart hunting Labs) and this new wonderful and healthy litter is just about ready to go to new homes! The sire of this litter is one of Chapman's sons, Dante (Alas, Chapman himself was too elderly to sire the litter. He died last summer at the age of 14+.) Charro, the mom -- who has the best disposition EVER -- comes from a long line of titled AKC registered Labs and is an excellent working Hunting Dog who hunts every day during the season. All of our Labs have had nice blocky heads, good dispositions and have been excellent working Hunting Dogs. If you are interested in getting an intelligent and good-looking hunting dog, IM us! We have 2 females and 3 males who have not been placed with a new family.

Hunting isn’t about killing anything.

It’s about time with grandkids. Father/son time. Time to bu****it with friends. Time spent with nature.

This weekend was all those things.

The Legend has 6 grandkids and 2 of them had their very first goose hunting trip this weekend. The hunt was a blast, but the time….that was priceless.
