Kristy's Dance Academy Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tumbling, & Ninja Warrior | Inspiring dancers of all ages 💛

At Kristy's Dance Academy we strive to stay on the cutting edge of the current dance trends, but still give our students a strong hold on tradition with strong technique and knowledge of terminology. We offer classes in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz/Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, and Tumbling for Ages 2 & up. Our faculty is certified by test to teach and we are members of Dance Masters of America. We are always attending workshops and conventions across the United States to stay on the lastest trends and to improve our teaching techniques so that we can give our students the dance & tumbling education they deserve. We have been named the best place for dance & gymnastics lessons in the Yadkin Valley for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Carson Nunnemaker is a 2018 graduate of East Wilkes High School and has been involved in dance for many years. She trained in a variety of dance styles, with tap always being her favorite, and was a member of the Rhythm on Main Competition Team.

During her time at Rhythm on Main, Carson also gained experience as a student teacher, allowing her to share her love of dance with younger dancers while developing her skills as a leader and mentor.

Today, Carson is a stay-at-home mom to her daughter, Saylor, and enjoys spending time with her family, including her fiancé, Brandon, and her stepsons, Brantlee and Weston.

Carson is excited to bring her dance background, experience, and love of tap to the Kristy’s Dance Academy family and to encourage the next generation of dancers.

MEET OUR NINJA WARRIOR INSTRUCTOR — CHERESE BLACK!

Cherese is a Marine Combat Veteran and has been teaching Ninja Warrior at Kristy’s Dance Academy since 2023. She is the proud mom of two girls, Harley and Ambellina. Both of her daughters are students at KDA and love helping out with our Ninja Warrior classes as well!

In addition to being a stay-at-home mom, Cherese is furthering her education in Animal Science and Agricultural Business. When she isn’t teaching Ninja, studying, or spending time with her family, she enjoys tending to her garden and mini-farm.

Cherese loves teaching Ninja Warrior and helping her students develop strength, confidence, and determination while encouraging them to challenge themselves and have fun!

We are so thankful to have Cherese and her family as part of our KDA family. ❤️🖤
