Happy, late, birthday to two of our students. While one of them, Randy Hodges, is no longer with us, he made an impact on the gym all the same and will be greatly missed. Our other student, Orion, is now in line to receive his black belt. Happy birthday gentlemen. We expect great things from Orion and his dedication to being a great karateka.

Just so everyone knows, it's not cheap to test and receive your black belt. That's not a slam on any organization, this is merely a knowledge post. All international organizations have an increasing price structure for black belts. You, as a student, have the choice to continue from first level brown belt. Just keep in mind that it will be pricey, and will only get more so as you climb the ranks. Don't let that scare you off. There's nothing wrong with it. Just don't be afraid of the sticker price.

Results from last weekend's belt test. Everyone did very well. The boys went to brown belts, Jeff went to yellow, and our chief instructor went to 3rd degree. Great job, everyone.

This weekend was training and belt testing in Tulsa. Friday night being black and brown belt training. More training as a group on Saturday with Sensei's Mark and Jeff. It was a great time. All the students performed well.

On our way back from Tulsa. No matter the outcome, everyone did exceptionally well. Good effort all the way around by everyone. Training never stops, be ready for more on Monday. Until then, enjoy your weekend.

We will be open Thursday night from 6-7 for extra training for the test.

We are all setup now for figured equipment orders. You will only have to pay the cost of the item plus the shipping. We will not be charging for your equipment. What you pay is what it cost and the shipping. Come check with us before you order your next piece of martial arts equipment.

We're going to go ahead and cancel class tonight. The road is not cleared, and won't be today. As such, it's better to be safe for everyone.

As of 8am, Monday the 30th, classes are still on for today. However, we are keeping an eye on the roads. We will update everyone at 3pm.

To all students: the testing will be March 4th in Tulsa. Carpooling is recommended. We will be leaving at 6:30am to head that way. Be sure to have your coffee ready. Testing will be $50 per person under the ISKF. Everyone right now is eligible for testing based on time. After testing, we will find a place to eat. Please, let the chief instructor know if you will be attending.
