Hello Muay Thai Friends! If you are looking for an amazing experience and workout this weekend I highly recommend attending Master Chai’s seminars. You would pay 3 times this much to attend anywhere else in the world.
Alonzo is at the gym selling mats and gear! Stop by for some great deals!
We are very sad to announce due to unforeseen circumstances we closed the doors of New Guard MMA & Jiu Jitsu. Our new space wasn’t going to work out and they already rented out our old space. We haven’t made the decision if this is final or not yet. Thank you for your support, love, business and for becoming our family over the last 12 years. We will keep you posted if we decide when and where to reopen.
Tomorrow we will be having a meeting from 6:30-7pm to discuss the future of the gym. Anyone who has input on what classes, programs and community events they want to see is welcome to attend. This is open to the community of Juneau including students past and present. (Please make sure you wear a mask!)
Adult class will be pushed to 7pm.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us and helped us grow over the past 12 years. Let us know what you would like to see in the future!
We have moved! Our new address is 2354 Mendenhall Loop Road Suite 79 in the same building as Dominoes Pizza and the same parking lot as AT&T!
We will be cleaning, laying mats and organizing at our new spot today at 3pm for anyone who wants to join. We will be providing food. (probably pizza!)

New Guard is moving to 2354 Mendenhall Loop Road Suite 79 in the same building as Dominoes Pizza and the same parking lot as AT&T!
Firstly and most importantly, thank you to our amazing students who have come together to form a team that has created a supportive and fun learning environment. Both our adults and our youth work so hard and deserve more room!
We will be moving our gear and mats over the next three days. (If you would like to help please send us a message!) Classes on Friday and Saturday will be held as normal in our current space with Monday being our first classes in the new location.
Over the coming weeks we will be teaching in between tearing out walls to give us a bigger central mat room plus: bathroom, coat/seating room, private training/Bootcamp room, childcare room, gear storage area and a much deserved office for Harmony who currently claims a corner mat as her “office”.
We will be expanding our schedule soon with classes geared towards beginners and intermediate/advanced students. If you want to see something added to the schedule please tell us.
If you would like to join (or rejoin) we are opening registration in all our programs but please send us a message and we will let you know when is the best time to start!
Tonight’s classes will be held at our current location! We will be announcing our new location and all the awesome changes coming with it later today!

Here is our current schedule! We are accepting new students in all classes. Please contact us to schedule a new student orientation, inquire about other group classes, schedule private lessons or gym rental.

We have openings in our Saturday classes!
Bootcamp 1-2pm (half hour circuit workout and a half hour of stretching both parts designed to help out martial artists gain the conditioning and flexibility to improve your game)
Teen Muay Thai 2-3pm (ages 13-16, kickboxing style from Thailand, if we get a few more teens signed up we will start offering this class twice a week)
