๐บ Pray for Hawaii ๐บ
Our hearts are with the residents of Hawaii as they face devastating floods across the islands. Homes have been damaged, families displaced, and communities are hurting after one of the worst flooding events in decades.
Please join me in lifting up Hawaii in prayer:
๐ For the safety of those affected
๐ For comfort for families who have lost so much
๐ For strength for first responders and recovery teams
๐ For restoration and healing across the land
Hawaii is more than a place- it's a people, a culture, an ' ohana. Let's surround them with love, faith, and support during this time. โค๏ธ

๐บ A Class for the Whole 'Ohana ๐บ
Ohana Hula Hui was created to be more than just a dance class - it's a space for families to come together.
It provides an opportunity to:
๐ Spend meaningful time with your children
๐ด Move your body and stay active
๐ธ Learn something new together
We meet in the evenings so parents who work can still come, connect, and be present with their keiki (kids).
This is a judgment-free, welcoming environment where:
โจ๏ธ No experience is needed
โจ๏ธ No one is turned away
โจ๏ธ Everyone belongs
Whether you come to dance, learn, or simply be together - you are welcome here.

๐บ Did You Know ๐บ
In Hawaiian culture, hula is a way of telling stories through movement.
Our hands and motions represent things in nature like:
๐ the ocean
๐ด the trees
๐ธ the flowers
In our upcoming Keiki & 'Ohana Hula Class, children will learn how to use simple hand motions to tell these beautiful island stories.
What is your favorite thing about Hawai'i?

๐บ The Motivation Behind It All ๐บ
God blessed me with three beautiful girls, and it is one of the greatest privileges of my life to be their mother.
Every day I am reminded that the things we pass down to our children matter - our faith, our values, and our culture.
Through Ohana Hula Hui, I hope to share the beauty of where we come from and the importance of honoring your heritage.
This class is my way of carrying our legacy forward, not just for my daughters, but for any family who would like to participate. ๐บ

๐บ The Man Who Stands Beside Me ๐บ
As I continue sharing the heart behind Ohana Hula Hui, I canโt begin this journey without acknowledging my husband.
Behind every step forward I take, there is someone who encourages me, listens to my ideas, supports my dreams, and helps steady me when I feel nervous.
Ohana means family โ and this class, this mission, this desire to pass down culture and heritage to our daughters โ would not be possible without his support.
He may not be dancing in class (unless we convince him ๐), but he is very much part of this journey.
I am grateful to have a partner who believes in me and in the importance of passing down faith, culture, and family.

๐บ๐ธ๐บ Honoring My Dad ๐บ๐บ๐ธ
As I begin this journey, I want to honor another very important person in my life โ my dad.
He is the toughest person Iโve ever met. A United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, a man of strength, courage, and deep conviction. From him is where I draw much of my confidence and determination.
He has always believed in me. Always supported me. Always been there when I needed advice.
He is my travel partner, my sounding board, the one who thinks outside the box and is never afraid of anything. He has a sharp mind, a great sense of humor, and one of the smartest people I know.
While my mom gave me my Hawaiian roots, my dad gave me the strength to stand firmly in them.
As I teach others about my culture and the importance of โohana, I hope to make him proud.
Thank you, Dad โ for everything. โค๏ธ

๐บ The Heart Behind Ohana Hula Hui ๐บ
This is my mom and she is the reason this page exists.
Growing up, Hawaii was never just a place. It was identity. It was family. It was music, language, and movement. My mom carried that with her, and she passed it to me.
As Iโve grown older and now have daughters of my own, I feel a deep kuleana (responsibility) to make sure our heritage continues through the generations. Culture doesnโt pass itself down โ someone has to intentionally carry it forward.
For me, hosting Keiki and โOhana hula classes is how Iโve chosen to do that. Itโs a way to share with my daughters โ and with any family who wishes to participate โ the beauty of where we come from.
I am honoring my mother and sharing the aloha of Hawaiสปi with my community.
And that means so much to me. ๐โจ

๐บ Aloha & Welcome to Ohana Hula Hui! ๐บ
My name is Leanna, and I am so excited to officially launch this space where we can share the joy of hula and Hawaiian culture right here in Jupiter.
My mother is from Hilo, Hawaiสปi, and growing up with those roots has always been such a special part of my identity. Through the years, Iโve shared Hawaii through library presentations, and now Iโm so excited to begin offering Keiki & โOhana hula classes at the Jupiter Community Center starting in April.
I am not a kumu hula and this is not a hฤlau โ I am simply sharing my love of Hawaii and โohana with our community.
Whether you have Hawaiian roots or simply love the culture, you are welcome here. ๐ด๐
More details about class registration coming soon!
With aloha,
Leanna
