HAPPY LABOR DAY!! Is it even a holiday if you don’t have donuts? Thanks Scags for always helping us celebrate! We DONUT 🍩 know what we’d do without you! 🤣

This weekend we had smiles all around - despite the persistent thermocline that creeped in on our dives. That’s what sunny ☀️ surface intervals are for - to warm up and get ready to dive back in!

The goliath action continued to be INCREDIBLE as the gentle giants keep stacking up on our wrecks. We also had plenty of other amazing marine encounters, including a rare Kemps Ridley turtle in Palm Beach. We also had bull sharks, lemon sharks, morays, hawksbill turtles, nudis, massive schools of grunts and tropical fish and so much more!

Labor Day may have passed, but summer isn’t over yet for us here in South Florida - hope to see you out with us this week!

PS - bring a wetsuit! 😉 🥶 👌🏻

CONGRATS TO K2! Reigning lionfish tournament champions - 3 years in a row! Collectively between the 2 boats we eliminated 275 invasive lionfish off our reef. Well done, Kyalami Fam!

We also had outstanding conditions during our drops to hunt lionfish - the warm water is back and was consistently 83/83 degrees, we had a moderate north current, flat seas and up to 90ft of viz on our lionfish hunting spots. Muttons, hogfish and lobsters also made an appearance - 2 full boats of divers are eating good this weekend!

We did weighs in at each dock after the tournament, congrats to our individual winners:
K2 - 152 total
Lisa Ehele - smallest
Shannon Rizer - largest
Angelica Freston - most slayed (15 total)

K1-123 total
Lance Jehn- most slayed (25 total)
Lance Jehn - Largest
Chris Granger - smallest

And while we love the friendly competition between the 2 boats, we acknowledge the real winner here is our reef that is now a little less vulnerable from these invasive species. It feels good to protect what we love!
