Charter fishing in Jupiter Florida. Drift fish for Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, and Cobia. Troll for Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Sailfish.

On Tuesday 9/12/23, I had my last Latitude Sportfishing charter. It was a great way to end for my repeat customer, with a limit of Yellowtail Snapper, a King Mackerel, and a Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) The physical nature of charter fishing has taken its toll on me. I have decided to "retire" from the fishing business. It is hard for me to believe that it has been almost 6 years since I started. It was always a dream of mine to own my own fishing charter business and share my passion for fishing. I wanted to thank all of the wonderful customers I was fortunate enough to take out fishing. It is bittersweet for me to close the business, but it is time for the next chapter for me, whatever that may be. THANK YOU! Tight lines.

Donna wanted to stay away from the King Mackerel today and just try to get a few Snappers. The Yellowtail Snapper were cooperating and this excellent fisherwoman caught her limit in less than 2 hours. Apparently the King didn't get the memo from Donna and jumped on our line. It was one of the larger Kings caught on my boat this year, which is in the 30lb range. Both the Yellowtail and the King Mackerel bite is just on fire here in Jupiter right now. Get out there if you can.

I am happy to offer a special trip this year. I will take up to 6 people on an evening cruise to check out the Christmas decorations along the Intercoastal Waterway for $250. We will leave at 5:30 pm just as the sun is setting, and cruise south along the Intercoastal, and return to the dock at 7:30 pm. Almost all of the homes along the Intercoastal decorate their back yards and docks. It is a great way for family and friends to get in the holiday spirit! Bring whatever you would like to eat and drink. You can book the trip directly at latitudesportfishing.com and see availability, or call or text me at 561-537-0553 to reserve your trip. Of course I am still operating my fishing charters too!

It was almost 2 weeks with rough seas, but I was able to get out the last couple days, and they were awesome! Yesterday I got to spend the morning with this family for one of their first offshore trips. We found a big Bull Dolphin and a Silky Shark out in the deep. Due to some sporty seas, we cruised back into the shallows and had a blast with quite a few Lane Snappers, another shark, a Trigger Fish, and some Blue Runners.
On Friday, another first offshore trip, this family had fun catching 8 or 10 small bonitos, until we found some nice Dolphin. We were 3 for 4 on Dolphin for the day, as one fish came unbuttoned on a double header strike.
The second trip on Friday was a father and son trip. We worked hard to get that first dolphin in the boat, and Alexi and I then somehow managed to throw the fish back in the water! Don't take pictures right by the edge of the boat with a wild Mahi. Lesson learned. Maybe we will catch her when she is 20+ lbs. Undaunted, we kept at it and were rewarded with Alex's first Wahoo! Another first for me as we caught the Wahoo much deeper than I ever have, and also in the middle of the afternoon. Add a nice Almaco Jack and some Bonitos and we had a really good afternoon.
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Had a great trip today with this fun couple from Maryland. Although we weren't able to come up with the targeted fish today, Sailfish, we had a lot of action and were able to put 5 nice Mahi Mahi and one big Cobia on ice today. Special thanks to Capt. Alex for his exceptional work as mate today.

It is September and the Dolphin bite has picked up. Here are a couple pics from my last 2 trips. I am not as busy since the back to school rush, but I plan to chase these fish the next 3 days. The fish are a bit offshore, but worth the ride! I will keep you posted!

Here are a few pictures from some recent trips. We certainly got a stud Barracuda! It measured 50" with a 19" girth. Estimated weight of 35lbs. Ed is having a replica made at Gray's Taxidermy. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Ed's crew had a great time on this trip catching some snappers and the barracuda. Also, Greg and John wanted to catch some Kings and some snappers. They got their 2 person limit on Kings, and got a nice Mutton and Yellowtail Snapper for a tasty dinner. Another father and son braved the rough seas and were able to land a few Kings and a nice Mutton Snapper. The King bite is not red hot, but we are managing a few on almost every trip. I picked up 2 more Cudas trolling today. As usual, we catch quite a few trolling in the summer. Tight lines!

We had a nice day today, topped off by this shark chasing our hooked up Bonito. I think he was watching shark week and wanted to get on the Air Jaws program. Do we get points for that?

Sorry I have not kept up with the posts. Fishing has been busy! Thank you to all of my customers. Here are just a few pictures over the last few weeks. Some of the fish are camera shy, and didn't want their picture taken.

Just a few pics from a couple recent trips. I had a 3 generation trip when a son and his wife, Mom and Grandmom came fishing! Everyone caught lots of fish, including some King Mackerel, Rainbow Runners, Snappers, a Strawberry Grouper and some other reef fish.
In the other photos are some guys that got into some Rainbow Runners and a real big 19" Mangrove Snapper, Vermillion, Yellowtail and Mutton Snappers. We were not as fortunate with the King Macks, as we kept getting bit off. They were able to take home a nice dinner though. We are catching a little bit of everything right now, and when you add in the big Bonitos that have now made their presence known and the many Blue Runners, the action has been non-stop. Thanks to everyone who took a trip!

Harry hadn't been fishing in a while and his freezer was empty. We had a fun day with a lot of bites. We couldn't put any snappers in the box, even though we caught half a dozen Mutton Snappers, all were short. A Rainbow Runner and a few grunts were in the box before we found some King Mackerel. Harry was able to put a couple nice Kings on ice. A few of the Kings got the best of us with bite-offs. We had half a dozen sardines left for bait and were about to call it a day when the flat line spinner started screaming. What we thought might be a big Bonito turned into a 25lb Blackfin Tuna - we were ecstatic! What a great day on the water, and back at the dock by 10:30.
