💗 Why We’re Wearing Pink Today 💗
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and today my kids are proudly wearing pink in honor of my mom — their amazing grandmother — who was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago. She fought through it with so much courage, grace, and strength, and we’re beyond grateful to say she’s been cancer-free for three years! 🎉
Leading up to her diagnosis, my mom had just begun Pilates — and as soon as she learned she’d be having surgery, she doubled down on her training to make sure her body was strong enough to conquer and endure what lay ahead. 💪 Her dedication to her health and healing was truly inspiring.
A huge thank you to Blue Moon Pilates in Mission Viejo for taking such wonderful care of my mom. Your support helped her stay strong through one of the hardest times in her life.
We love you, Mom — we’re endlessly inspired by your grace, determination, and the light you bring to our family every single day. 💖
So today, we wear pink — for my mom, for all the strong women and families touched by breast cancer, and for the power of awareness, community, and early detection. 🎀

Cross training for any sport is imperative to create muscular balance & body awareness. Whether you’re a ballerina 🩰 , gymnast 🤸🏼 , on the field ⚽️ , wielding a bat ⚾️, or hitting the green ⛳️ , Pilates can be a great way to target specific areas of weakness or imbalance, improve posture, and help with injury prevention.

For almost 16 years, and my entire Pilates career, I’ve had this little buddy by my side at every session, with every client. From the moment he was mine (more like I was his!), he spent almost every day of his life at the dance studio for years, and always by my side during all of my pilates sessions. I half expect him to walk around the corner today as I teach my first client without him snuggled in his bed watching over us. I’m grateful for the many students & clients over the years who have loved Bean as much as I have. He will be missed dearly by so many who knew and loved him. Rest easy my sweet boy. I love you. 🌈🕊️
