Mele Kalikimaka and congratulations to the Romo family, PADI's newest three open water divers. The girls, Ivanna and Sophia, knocked out their skills, and Dad did great as well. They are going to make a great dive buddy trio together!

A few more details on the upcoming HSA course. Mark and Elsie from Poseidon Handicap Scuba Adventures are coming to the Big Island. Their awesome charity is providing instruction in memory of Kelleen Lum. There are a few logistics, such as flights, housing, and meals, that donations could help with. Also, they are special folks bringing a special opportunity to our island, so any Aloha you could share, a manta tour, whale watching, good food, etc would be much appreciated.

I cannot say enough good things about Stream 2 Sea products. It is refreshing to see a brand that makes a product so good while standing by its values to protect the environment. Every product is thoroughly researched and not a detail is left out. The claims are not just lip service but a dedication to a cause. Few products can say they protect their customer and the environment at the same time without compromising quality at the same time. Stream 2 Sea hits it out of the park and continues to do so with each new product release. It is a dive day must for me and not just sunscreen. Stream 2 Sea defog keeps my mask clear so I don't miss a single one of my ocean friends. Post dive their shampoo and body wash gently remove the salt all without hurting me or the ocean.

People ask us why we don’t use aerosols a lot, and there are several reasons!
1️⃣ They’re wasteful: on a moving boat or windy day, most of the spray doesn’t even hit your skin.
2️⃣ Coverage is guesswork: how much actually made it on you vs. the air?
3️⃣ Most importantly, aerosol propellants and chemical dispersants can be harmful to the environment and have been linked to respiratory issues, with children especially at risk – they can land up to 450 meters from where they were sprayed.

We stick to lotions, sticks, and pumps for better coverage, less waste, and to help protect our bodies and blue planet. Ocean-friendly application is a choice – protect what you love. 💙🌊

Back in the early days of seafaring three compasses were brought aboard ship in the event one was off the other two would confirm which one was off. Few people depend more on tech than I do, but every once and a while I feel the need to make sure the dive computer matches the old military lensatic compass.
