As of 5a this morning, Hurricane Iselle is a Category 4 with max sustained winds at 141mph, located about 1200mi ESE of Hilo. Forecast tracks it to pass right by the Big Island with possible landfall on Maui and Oahu. Heavy showers and high winds are expected later this week if it holds this current track. Get prepared! Tropical Storm Julio is just behind Iselle, and expects to upgrade to Hurricane status later today into tomorrow.

This weeks special: Lake Kahalu'u. In need of a summer north swell! Do those exist anymore in Hawaii? It's bean a very odd year so far...mother nature is throwing us a curve- or a zig zag. Oh well we will hang in there and count our blessings in other ways until the waves arrive
