Still on top of the world 👍🏆
So a friend has qualified for Kona (Richard Shephard) and as I will only be a short flight away I've decided to take a little holiday to see the big race. Can't wait to cheer him on and see the pros from the other side of the fence. Hawaii here I come!

"Dominic Hollingdale, you are an Ironman". Finish line celebration. :)
A bit of action from the start of the run in Kona.
Good news and bad news today. The official age group rankings have been published and the bad news is that I'm not first but the good news is I am the second best 30-34 Ironman in the world ;). Whoop whoop, happy with that.
This island is such an amazing place and very hard to describe in words my feelings for the world champs in Hawaii. Very special to be surrounded by the best in the world and to be apart of such an iconic race. Today was tough in the swim getting kicked, punched and pulled down but I gave it back. Then the bike return leg was into head wind and cramp set in towards the end. The run was so hot and humid you just wouldn't believe but the ice down the shorts helped a treat! Running up and down a highway is the hardest location as the road just goes on and on in a straight line. But for the first time after an ironman I'm able to walk...just! Tomorrow is celebration day! Thank you for all the kind words and messages it means so much to me. Off to bed now and dream about what I have achieved. :). Pictures to follow.

IRONMAN!!!!!!!
Well done, from Mum and Dad
In 1978 Ironman was created and 35 years on it has become one of the most iconic triathlon races in the world and I'm about to toe the line. I have watched countless videos, read stories, books and now I'm here to do what I've dreamt about for so long. Love it.
