Fluffies had a good win in the 500 mtr heat 2.12.13 is a great time so super happy with teams progress. Also jumped into GMM 500 came 8th in 2.17.40.

That was a great worlds on a very deceiving course, most DQs I've ever seen at a regatta. Fluffies picked up a DQ in the turns race. In the 500 straight we came 2nd in our heat to progress straight to the final. Final was a very close race with us coming in 5th.
In the V1 Skins and Maurie made it to the repocharge.
After a very close final I managed to pick up a 3rd place and bronze medal. Overall Fluffies had a good campaign with some close racing.

Well yesterday 3 crews out of the 5 on the start line got blown over the due to a sudden gust of wind, unfortunately we were one of them and got a DQ for start line fault. But we still posted 2nd fastest time in the M70 division.Today is a rest day for us, but back tomorrow for redemption. WE GOT THIS

Well today didn't go quite as planned with a poor start. That had to be the quickest flag drop of the regatta. Anyhow both teams would have got some learnings from that! Once we got going made some ground on the others so that's a positive sign.
Tomorrow we start our V6 campaign with a 500 mtr (with turn) heat. Let's goooo!

Campaign has started well. Bronze medal in V1 for me. Skins and Maurie also performed well in the V1 unfortunately missing out on finals. Tomorrow we team up with the Hourota boys in the V12. It's a straight final so we've got to be in with a chance.

And we're off me, Shazz and Pierre on the plane. Next stop Honolulu.

Down to the last week of training now. Tomorrow Wednesday training on a Matahina Waka at Rotoiti. Saturday a mini regatta against some local teams to give us some real race practice. Monday will be our last practice before we head over to Hilo. I'm really happy with our build up and believe we are ready to take on the best in the world.

Fluffy Slippers M70 team has won all races at the national sprints for the last two years, We have qualified for the World sprints in August this year.
Training is three days a week on the water and two days a week in the gym. The team is focused Fit and training hard.

Fluffy Slippers has split into Two teams, the Rights Golden Master men and the Left Master 70 men.
Both will be at the national sprints in January so watch this space
