***IMPORTANT UPDATES***

First: You spoke, and we listened! Beginning the week of June 28th and going forward, class start times will be pushed back to begin at 5:30pm and 6:45pm instead of current start times in order to accommodate more students. Yay!!

Second: That same week will be Summer Break at the studio, which means NO REGULAR SERIES CLASSES. However, we have a ton of fun drop-ins and really cool workshops available instead.

Introducing the Emcee for our upcoming production of PRISM: A Chromatic Cabaret, Sara!

Sara is a theatre director and stand up comedian born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. You may have seen her work locally at the Aloha Theatre, some favorites include; The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (2023), 9 to 5 (2024), and Carrie: The Musical (2025).

She regularly performs stand up with and Dirty Girl Comedy in Kona. She holds theatre degrees from the University of Texas and London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

A dedicated beginner, she is currently enrolled in Intro to Pole at Tbe Pod Kona for the third time. Sara is so excited to present this show to you!

Introducing the final cast member and second STUDENT performer in our upcoming show PRISM: A Chromatic Cabaret, Leilani!

Leilani has been dancing on the pole for about three years, starting her journey at The Pod Kona in 2023 through choreography and drop-in classes. She later moved into the progressive series (tricks based) in 2024.

She loves linking movements together in creative and intriguing ways while exploring both static and spin. Leilani is drawn to eccentric, moody music and often lets emotion guide the way she moves.

In addition to pole, she enjoys creating with her hands, surfing, skating, and spending time with her children.

Introducing the next cast member and first STUDENT performer in our upcoming show PRISM: A Chromatic Cabaret, Riley!

Since childhood, Riley has always been a creative soul at heart. She started as an artist with painting and drawing before branching out into the performing arts, taking on acting in live theatre, and becoming a musician.

Riley is actually pretty reserved, which is why it came as a surprise to many, including herself, that she took to pole so quickly. Thanks to the insistence of her mother, she has been taking lessons at The Pod since September 2024, and has been charging forward ever since. Dancing on the pole has become another creative outlet for her, one that allows her to push herself further not just physically, but also mentally. It’s a new form of expression for her, one filled with high risk and high reward.

Despite an injury that left her unable to pole for a month, Riley is back and stronger than ever. She is so excited to share her performance with you, and is extremely honored to be a part of this colorful show.

Introducing the next cast member and guest performer in our upcoming show PRISM: A Chromatic Cabaret, Annie!

Also hailing from Hilo, Annie joins us from studio. Free flow is at the core of her practice and all of her performances. She spends a lot of time in the forest, as her movements are inspired by the beyond human world. Annie also worked as a stripper overseas and believes that dance (art) is political. This will be her first time performing with The Pod, and she’s so excited to share her color with you!

Introducing the next cast member and our first guest performer in the upcoming show, PRISM: A Chromatic Cabaret, Vicky!

Joining us from Hilo, Vicky is known by Pod fans for her unforgettable Turtle from The Lava Doll's production of Wonderland and the Contortionist from our Circus Le Freak show. Vicky has been bringing bendy brilliance to The Pod since August 2025, both as an instructor and performer. With 17 years of aerial acrobatics under her belt, she teaches everything from flexibility and tricks to base work—sharing nearly two decades of movement magic with every class. Get ready for grace, strength, and just the right amount of circus chaos. What color do you think she'll be representing??
