VIDEO: Hilo Celebrates Vikings, Hawaii State Football Champs HILO, Hawaii - After a historic night of HHSAA championship football, the champions are greeted with a hero's welcome at Hilo International Airport on their return Sunday.

What an amazing and unforgettable game! So proud of Konawaena. They left it all on the field and represented the Big Island well and with much class! Proud to be a Wildcat! Zoocrew! Proud of the Big Boys and the rest of the team, job well done.

Konawaena falls in the Division II state championship in 7 overtimes to Lahainaluna, 75-69.

Big Boy Bash Hawai'i was created a little over three months ago, and what was accomplished in this short time is a simply a miracle. It was challenging , a blessing, and a complete joy meeting new folks that wanted to contribute to this free event and completely bless our Big Island linemen. I'm excited for the future of this event. Hope to see you next year, it'll be bigger and better. Thanks to you!

I was truly blessed this day! The linemen and coaches were excited and enjoyed the competition. Character development and building each other up was our focus.
