Rising Heights Dance Founder Madison is SO EXCITED FOR YEAR 5!!!!

Growing up in the Kalama community, Madison began dancing at age 14 in Longview, WA and learned many styles and genres, but focused on her passion of ballet, lyrical, and jazz as she progressed through pointe work and advanced classes. She has been dancing for 17 years and has been teaching for 10 since she left college where she studied musical theater and minored in dance pedagogy at BYU-I. She participated in many showcases and productions in college, as well as took many classes in muscle movement, dance technique and teaching skills!

She is a Progressing Ballet Technique certified teacher, a licensed Once Upon a Ballet instructor, is a certified Danscend Mental Health training for dance teachers, is a member of the Washington State Dance Studio Owner Coalition and the Dance Studio Owners Association, and will continue her own training as she teaches others. She is excited to bring dance back to her hometown and is honored to own Rising Heights Dance!

Miss Jade is joining Rising Heights Dance to teach Ballet and Voice!
Jade Stewart is a passionate artist and educator who has always loved exploring a wide variety of creative art forms, including dance, music, theater, illustration, pottery, and more. Her artistic journey began at a young age through classical ballet, which she practiced throughout her childhood from the age of 3 until 16.

Alongside her love of dance and visual art, Jade has always had a deep passion for music. This love eventually led her to pursue voice lessons and participate in choir throughout college, giving her another meaningful outlet for creativity and expression. Jade believes that exploring different art forms helps us better understand ourselves and the world around us, and she loves encouraging others to discover the creative outlets that speak to them.

Most recently, Jade graduated from Northwest Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education. As a substitute teacher working toward finding a permanent position as an art teacher, Jade is thrilled to join the creative community of artists at Rising Heights. She is excited to share her love of art while learning from and connecting with the students, teachers, and artists around her.

Jade is a teacher at heart and finds great joy in watching people learn, grow, and gain confidence in their abilities. She believes that everyone has creativity within them and that everyone deserves the opportunity to create, experiment, make mistakes, and express themselves. Whether through painting, drawing, music, movement, theater, pottery, or another creative pursuit, Jade hopes to inspire others to embrace their individuality and discover the joy that comes from making something of their own.

Every dancer needs rest!

Rising Heights Dance will be CLOSED for Labor Day no classes today!

We hope our dance family enjoy a well-deserved day of relaxing, recharging, and maybe a few extra hours of sleep, because behind every great leap, turn, and performance is a dancer who knows the importance of rest too!
We'll see everyone back in the studio tomorrow ready to keep working, learning, and growing together!

Miss Robyn teaches ballet here at Rising Heights Dance and we are SO excited for a great season with her!
Robyn Dalke brings warmth, artistry, and professionalism to her classroom. With over 15 years of dance instruction experience, Robyn has developed a unique approach that helps dancers connect proper technique with the expressive use of their own bodies.
Beginning her dance journey at the age of three, Robyn received a diverse and rigorous education. She trained locally in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance, and has had the privilege of studying under professional ballet dancers throughout her career. As a child, she attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, focusing on modern dance. She later attended Western Oregon University, earning a minor in dance and discovering a deep passion for choreography. As a performer, Robyn has competed in numerous competitions and appeared in a variety of productions, mostly local, but some as far as the Bahamas. Her favorite role to date was dancing as the Dew Drop Fairy in The Nutcracker.
Robyn’s dedication to her students’ growth as both dancers and individuals is evident in every class. She has taught students who have gone on to become professional dancers and instructors themselves. She looks forward to working with her students each year, supporting them wherever dance takes them in life.

We can't think of a better day to talk about Miss Jasmin than on her BIRTHDAY!! Happy birthday to the brain and backbone of our studio! There are so many little things that happen because of Jasmin and we're really grateful for her organizing and management and general chaos coordination!

Jasmin grew up in Kalama with Madison, they reconnected after college, and is now the biggest supporter in creating Rising Heights Dance! You might not see her in the office, but she is ensuring that finances, costumes, recitals, scheduling, social media, website and so much more is running smoothly!

Aside from being Madison's best friend and business partner, Jasmin has a Masters Degree in Counseling with an emphasis on school counseling, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies. She uses her education to train staff on safe practices and helping students grow with positive mental health strategies!

Miss Chloe makes every dance memory even sweeter at Rising Heights Dance!

Chloe started dancing in the first grade at Academy of Dance Arts in Rapid City, South Dakota where she did ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She went en pointe at the age of 12 and was invited to a summer intensive at Ballet West in Utah. She danced for her high school in Provo, and shortly after graduating she married and moved to the Pacific Northwest to be near family! She loves working with children and spending time with her dogs.

Chloe began teaching dance at Rising Heights Dance in 2023. Chloe loves to teach our littlest dancers and always encourages positivity in her classes and within her dancers. As long as her students are cheering themselves and others on, loving their dancing selves, and improving each week her goal as a teacher is fulfilled!
