Here’s to the family who showed up on the sidelines of our young athletes’ games this year.

No, not just the parents and siblings.

But the grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, teachers and friends who showed up for them, too.

The ones who left their own to-do lists at home just for that moment your athlete spotted them on the sideline.

The ones who sometimes cheered louder than everyone else because they knew how much the game meant to the kid they were there to watch.

The ones who wore the team swag because it’s just as much their team, too.

The ones who could have been doing a million other things with their day, but they were on the sidelines cheering on our kids as they do what they love.

And the ones we know were there in spirit from afar… and from above.

To those ones.

Thank you for showing up.

There’s a kid out there who appreciates your effort.

And I do, too.

The field reveals your talent. The dugout reveals your character.

Out on the grass, you’re in the spotlight. But inside the dugout, when you think no one is watching, your true value is exposed.

The dugout is a pressure cooker. Your frustration after a strikeout, your disappointment over playing time—it doesn't just disappear. It has walls. It infects the teammate next to you. It becomes an emotional black hole that can drain a team's will to win.

When you step on that bench, you sign an unwritten contract. The terms are absolute:

1. My energy will be a contribution, not a tax.
2. My eyes will stay on the game, not my own mistakes.
3. My voice will lift my teammates, not complain about my circumstances.
4. My commitment is to the team's victory, not my personal stats.

The momentum that wins championships isn't born from a home run. It's born on the bench, when a player who just failed is the first one on the top step, cheering for the next guy up.

Register for Fall Baseball League in SW Michigan The High School Fall Baseball League (HSFBL) is the nation's largest network of Fall Wood Bat Leagues with 300+ players selected to HSFBL All-Star Games.

The 14U Rebels ended the 2025 season last weekend. The boys won two championships between the spring and summer seasons. Thanks to the parents, grandparents and families on the sidelines for cheering and keeping the boys fed and hydrated! 💙💚⚾️
