Check out this opportunity for ethics CMTE credits!

Announcing a new pre-approved ethics workshop for educators and supervisors!
https://joyfulnoisesllc.com/for-professionals/cmte-community/

Music therapy educators and clinical supervisors are invited to join us on Monday, June 29th, 7:00 - 10:00 pm EDT, for a LIVE virtual workshop on “Universal Design for Learning in Music Therapy Clinical Training: Building Ethical, Accessible, Competency-Driven Education” with Alicia Bousner Hrubey, M.M., LPMT, MT-BC.

As music therapy education continues to evolve in response to changing student demographics, workforce needs, and calls for greater equity and accessibility, educators and clinical supervisors are challenged to create learning environments that maintain professional rigor while supporting diverse learners. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) provides a proactive framework for reducing barriers to learning through multiple means of engagement, representation, and action/expression.

This CMTE has been approved by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) for 3 ethics credits. Those who register will receive access to a recording of this course in July (available until June 2027) and to a live Q&A with Alicia in August.

Current music therapy educators are encouraged to bring copies of their syllabi to both the workshop and the live Q&A to examine their current strengths and areas of need in utilizing these principles.
