A big shoutout to Jonathan Yarbrough, Executive Director of the Northside Association for Community Development- NACD for joining us and the Fatherhood Network for our latest group!

We enjoyed connecting on the course and learning more about the work Jonathan is leading to strengthen Kalamazoo’s Northside, including 🏠 housing and neighborhood revitalization, workforce and economic development, and building safer, more connected communities.

Great conversation, great fellowship, and an awesome session on the course!

We appreciate Jonathan for sharing his vision and discussing ways our organizations can work together to strengthen fathers, families, and the community.

KBGA SUMMER SUNDAYS PLAYOFFS 🏆
Thank you to our hometown host Eastern Hills Golf Course as always, but this Sunday was settled at Harbor Shores Golf Course

The Final Four brought the pressure, the competition, and the Back 9 drama—and Precision Productions captured every moment! 🎥⛳
🔥 Sunday Red advanced over Crimson 4–3 holes won.
🔥 Navy advanced with a 6–4 victory over Gunmetal at the beautiful Harbor Shores Golf Club in Benton Harbor.

Four teams entered. Two moved on.
Now it’s time to settle it all. 🏆

SWING TODAY. SUCCEED TOMORROW. ⛳

The Kalamazoo Black Golf Association is excited to launch Swing 4 Success, an after-school program in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo, Gull Lake View, and the Fatherhood Network! 🏌🏾‍♂️📚

This FREE program will help students in grades 8–11 develop skills on and off the course.

Participants will:

📚 Learn the History & Business of Golf — Explore the history and traditions of the game while discovering the business, careers, and opportunities within the golf industry.

🏌🏾 Develop Golf Skills — Receive hands-on instruction from a certified PGA golf professional at one of the six beautiful golf courses at Gull Lake View Golf Resort.

💡 Build Life Skills — Strengthen leadership, confidence, communication, and decision-making.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family & Community — Explore healthy relationships, community involvement, and the importance of giving back.

💼 Career Exploration — Discover career pathways and connect golf, education, and future success.

We wanted to send our appreciation out to our KBGA ambassadors, and our gracious hosts Mary Free Bed Wheelchair and Adaptive Sports for another awesome golf charity event in 2026.
Together, we're breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and building a stronger, more inclusive community—one athlete at a time.

For the third consecutive season, we were honored to volunteer with the Senior PGA Championship, enjoying behind-the-scenes access, networking opportunities during the day, and evenings spent with our spouses.
We witnessed Miguel Angel Jimenez ACE 🎯 hole #6 on Saturday, and his signature stash the sword celebration, police escorts of the resident course alligator, and plenty of great Florida eats and 🌞 ⛳️🏌🏾‍♀️
