Calling all BEEZ past and present!!!!

If you were an active member of the Kalamazoo Killer Beez over the past 10 years and have a desire to coach, play, officiate and be a part of this cool legacy team please fill out the form below!
The name and logo is still in the works!!!! This is not to take away from your primary home team. It’s essentially a way to keep the hive and the beez team principles ALIVE in the HIVE 🐝.
It is often difficult for juniors to adjust to the adult leagues right after aging out. This team can help bridge the gap! Many of the juniors end up in different locations and there has been a strong desire to have a space where all of our team past and present regardless of location can still enjoy playing with their former teammates, coaches, bod members, trainers, etc!!

🐝 HELP THE KALAMAZOO KILLER BEEZ FIND A NEW HIVE! 🐝

After many wonderful years in our previous practice home, the Kalamazoo Killer Beez Junior Roller Derby is searching for a new place to call home.

We're a nonprofit youth sports organization that provides a safe, inclusive environment where young athletes build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and lifelong friendships. We don't want to lose the momentum we've built, but we need our community's help.

We're looking for a space that offers:
🐝 Approximately 8,000 square feet or more
🐝 An open floor plan with minimal support columns
🐝 Smooth concrete, sealed concrete, or sport-court flooring
🐝 Availability for 1–2 evenings per week for practices
🐝 Bonus if it could also accommodate occasional scrimmages or sanctioned roller derby games

One of the biggest questions we receive is about the floors. Our athletes use specialized roller derby wheels designed for indoor sport surfaces, and they do not damage properly maintained gym or sport floors.

Do you own—or know someone who owns—a warehouse, commercial building, church gym, recreation center, vacant retail space, manufacturing facility, or other large open space? Even if you're not sure it would work, we'd love to have the conversation.

As pride month comes to an end, and in light of a changing landscape, the killer beez hold onto the mission and values we hold. We foster inclusivity, self-confidence, teamwork and resilience, providing a supportive space where every individual can grow thrive and express themselves authentically. Members of our hive were buzzing over at Youth Pride yesterday. This is the second year that our hive has partnered with to help raise awareness about roller derby. We had the opportunity to interact with so many amazing families and interested kids. We are so excited to invite new people into our hive. Shout out to the parents that continue to support and encourage our skaters to do these events! Our hive is beyond proud of how our skaters represented the league ❤️ 🐝 ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
