Well a buddy and I took a short trip East over the mountains this weekend. We fished Lake Francis a couple days and participated in the derby. No luck on any sizeable perch or pike.

However my buddy did nail himself his very first walleye at 5.5lbs on a gold jig i tied. I still have yet to catch one of those picky guys.

We finished out trip fishing Tiber for a few hours before heading home and I finally got something photo worthy. Hopefully we will get another trip over there this season here soon.

Multi Species Day Today!!
Went out with a buddie to target rainbow and ended up catching extra. Nothing giant this time out but good fishing. We caught a couple rainbow a couple largemouth and about 30 perch in various sizes (a few jumbos).

All that I caught were on a hand tied jig that I tied myself. (I just started tieing my own the other day so it's nothing pretty). A few fish were caught on a vmc tungsten fly and some on a ratfinki.

Everything was suspended off the bottom anywhere from 4 -10 feet. The dead stick was the go to in the morning and then they wanted a more aggressive jig in the afternoon.

Well took some time off for myself. Now I am back in the groove of things!

I will be getting more into the how to side and what I am doing.

Great day out on Echo Lake with good friends. Got out with Clint from Fishin' The Flathead and Pete from Petes Tackle Shop. We got into the smallmouth today "nothing giant but still fun".
