We are excited to announce that Liberty North high school will be the location of the USA Women’s Talent ID camp and “try rugby” clinic on April 18th! Being a day after the USA women’s team plays in the PAC4 at CPKC stadium, the USA players will show up towards the end for a meet and greet! We were honored to be considered and even more so to be chosen to host!!

She may be the last of our player spotlights, but if you think she’s least, she’s already scored a try 🤷🏾‍♂️

No matter the angle you take on the pitch, ya just might miss. It’s Teagen “Try Time” Alexander! Teagen is so fast, she makes fast people look not fast! 😮‍💨

Teagen is only a freshman! 🤯 she may be small, but it doesn’t matter because ya can’t catch her! Teagen gained 3 games of experience in 15s rugby as an eighth grader last spring and got to show off her wheels this fall playing 7s for the first time! She went from playing flag rugby last fall to be our top try scorer this season! 💪🏾💪🏾

You’ll get more chances to see her run past her opponents next spring for KC United Girls Rugby!! 💪🏾 Pay close attention to her highlights, they go by fast! 🔥🔥

Ok, ok, ok, I know, I know! We said Sissy does nothing but smile, but who’s up next, we’ll just go ahead and call her the “Smiling Scarfaced Scrumhalf” (we’re still work shopping the name 😅)

Meet Eliyana Segovia!! She’s our scrum-half,, she can kick and she literally never stops smiling 😁. At the end of a match, she walks up to the huddle and with her trademark smile and asked, “are there marks on my face???” Who cheeses after getting clawed during a rugby match? The Smiling Scarfaced Scrum-half does, that’s who!

Eliyana is only a sophomore and taking over at scrum-half for a mostly veteran team is no easy task. But she took every challenge head on and with her big ole smile! Be sure to be on the lookout for Eliyana’s smile and dynamic play next spring with KC United Girls Rugby! 💪🏾😤 In the meantime, check out her highlights!

NEW RUGGER ALERT!‼️

You looking at Salomé Miller, and we call her the savage! 😤 Yup yup, first time ever playing rugby this fall, and all she care about is that rugby ball! She runs hard, but she hits even harder! 💪🏾

She’s the type of player to knock her shoulder out of place, get it reset, and go hit some more! We have to protect her from her self sometimes, but it just shows the love she’s gained for rugby in a very short time.💙💛

THIS GIRL IS TUFF, or should we say… SAVAGE 😈😤

Salomé has shown amazing commitment to rugby and she’s ready for more of it! You’ll see her hair be a different color every 7s tournament or 15s game this spring with KC United Girls Rugby! 😤💪🏾

Wooooo we rollin now! Up next is Kaleta Fau! She likes to go by Sissy, so that’s what we call her! Sissy is a Junior and just finished her second season of fall 7s. Due to unfortunate circumstances similar to other teammates, she joined Liberty North this fall and man oh man did she unlock something for the team! 🔥

Sissy is as quiet as a church mouse, but has a smile that stays strong no matter how much she’s played! She’s a smooth and powerful runner with and without the ball. She has an extra gear of speed and acceleration that she knows how to use. Another one of our stiff arm queens, she’s also one of our best tacklers! 💪🏾💪🏾

With only being in the middle of her second full year of rugby, Sissy has only scratched the surface to how great a player she can be! You can catch her leading and making the team Tik Toks and back on the pitch next spring for KC United Girls Rugby 🔥💪🏾

O Captain! My Captain!” That’s right, up next we have our captain, Abigail Anderson! As another one of our seniors, she’s been anchoring the middle of the pitch for Liberty North for 4 years!💪🏾

Abby is a smooth, calm and explosive athlete! With no real holes in her game, she’s one of the most technically sound players you’ll watch. If you know her, you’ll know her playing style matches her personality. She remains calm and composed no matter what challenges she faces.😤

Abby is a great leader on and off the pitch, always willing to teach/coach new players.
Another extremely dedicated player and perfect ambassador for rugby! You can catch her next action with KC United Girls Rugby n summer 2026, with fingers crossed for the spring. 🤞🏾💪🏾 Watch her glide through her highlights!

Next up is our Flyhalf. Carlie “hands are rated E for Everybody” Hulme! The name says it all folks. When she gets the ball in her hands, opponents have to be ready for a real fight! As you’ll see in her highlights, you can catch Carlie on the pitch delivering stiff arms and fends to anyone dare try and tackle her. Also one of our most explosive tacklers, you’ll see that Carlie means business on the pitch.

But off the pitch she’s one of the sweetest and inclusive teammates we have. She’s always willing to give rides to her teammates, so much so that we’ve joked she looks like a sports mom dropping off her kids 🤣

Carlie is one of our seniors that has given so much time and commitment to the sport of rugby over her high school career. Check out her highlights below! You’ll see her making more plays next spring for KC United Girls Rugby😤💪🏾

First up on the player spotlight is Ella Christensen! Ella attends Park Hill South, but due to unfortunate circumstances she had the chance to play for Liberty North this fall and we couldn’t have been happier to have her!

We like to refer to Ella as “the spark” or “the glue” to our squad! Her knowledge of the game is always on display. Whether it be a timely pass or pop pass, rucking and doin the dirty work all the way to winning rucks and poaches for our defense. Ella knows where to be to keep our team flowing on offense and defense. You can catch her playing for KC United Girls Rugby this coming spring and summer! 💪🏾

Until then, check out some of her biggest plays from the fall!

And that’s a wrap on the 2025 fall season! This fall we watched these incredible young woman fight, learn and grow together. They grew as friends, teammates, leaders and family. The final game didnt end how we wanted, but they never stopped playing and fighting for each other. We finished as state runner up to the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints. Couldn’t be more proud of this group of warriors 🥹💪🏾

A BIG thank you to STA Saints Rugby for their constant support and dedication to girls high school rugby in MO/KS. Thank you for giving all of the seniors that played this fall, the send off they deserve!

Thank you to all the coaches and players for every team that played this fall! All of our time and contributions will be remembered.

And last, but not least, the BIGGEST thank you goes to the parents and coaches of our team! We wouldn’t be here without YOU!! Morgan Strabo, Jesse Miller, Omar Segovia and Jeremy Alexander it was an honor having yall. We know that this team isn’t done making noise for girls rugby in the Midwest 💪🏾💪🏾😤
