Maple Park Vikings Football

Our last game of the season against Paul Kinder Middle School will take place this Thursday at Winnetonka High School. A team will kick-off at 5 pm with B team to follow.

If any parent volunteers would help us run the chains we would greatly appreciate it.

Our game against Northgate Middle School begins at 4 pm here at Maple Park. B game will follow. There will be a food truck as well!

We do not have school or practice this Friday the 6th. However, we will have practice on Monday the 9th from 2:30 to 4:30, despite there not being school. There will be no transportation provided by the district as school is not in session. Players will be responsible for their own transportation to and from practice.

We are nearing the end of the first quarter. During a grade check, many of our players have low grades. We would like to encourage you to check your student-athlete's grades on PowerSchool. The coaches will help remind them about grade expectations, help them address their missing assignments, and share how their grades impact winter sports eligibility.

Attention C-team families: With temperatures approaching the 90s tomorrow, we are going to play our game in our practice jerseys. They are more breathable as they are mesh.

Please encourage your student-athletes to drink plenty of water tonight and tomorrow!

A few announcements about upcoming events:

1. Tomorrow's C-Team game against Robidoux Middle School (St. Joseph) will begin at 5 pm.

2. Next Tuesday's A game against New Mark Middle School will begin at 5pm at Staley High School. B game to follow.

3. Next Wednesday will be picture day for our football team. All players will wear our black game jerseys and gold pants for pictures. Picture forms will be sent home with players prior to our pictures so families can order photos if they choose.

Let’s support our feeder middle school, Maple Park Booster Club Maple Park Vikings Football next Tuesday.
It’ll be a great match up with Maple Park playing one of our fellow NKC schools, Antioch.

Game 2 tonight at Plaza Middle School in the Park Hill School District. A team's game starts at 4 p.m. with the B team's game to follow.
