Today, we had a very special visitor- Micah, a young man who will always be part of the Full Throttle family.
Micah was once involved in the juvenile system after making some bad decisions. But mistakes do not have to define the rest of your life. We are all human. We fall, we learn, we grow..and Micah is proof that your story can change when someone believes in you and you begin believing in yourself.
Micah is doing much better today, but he still stops by from time to time because he considers our gym another home, a safe place where he can find guidance, mentorship, encouragement, or simply people who genuinely care about him.
Today, he shared his story with our current group of young people. His words carried a different kind of weight because he has walked in their shoes. He understands their struggles, their choices, and the crossroads they may be facing.
This is what Full Throttle is truly about. It is bigger than boxing, training, or winning trophies. It is about building relationships that last long after a program ends. It is about making sure young people know that one bad decision does not make them a bad person..and that our doors will always be open when they need somewhere safe to turn.
Watching a young person we once mentored return to help guide the next group is one of the greatest rewards we could ever receive.
Micah, we are proud of your growth, and you will always have a home at Full Throttle. ❤️🥊
