One of the many common faults we see in the kettlebell swing is hip extension without simultaneous knee extension.

When you extend both your hips and knees at the same time, you’re recruiting more muscle mass and creating a more powerful force transfer through the bell. Isolating just the hips cuts that power short.

Drive both to full extension rapidly and explosively — that’s how you maximize your output. 💪⚡

VOTED BEST FITNESS GYM IN KANSAS CITY. 🏆💚

We were voted best CF gym in KC — and since we’re no longer affiliated, we went with fitness gym instead. Same thing.

And we’re only TWO YEARS IN. What else is in store for us?! 👀🔥

We don’t have the fanciest space or amenities. We don’t have a smoothie bar, a sauna, or a state of the art facility. What we have is this — a community that shows up for each other, and a coaching staff that genuinely loves their athletes.

That’s it. That’s the whole thing. And you better believe, that’s enough to be the best in the city. 🙌

To every athlete who voted, who walks through our doors, who cheers for the person next to them — this is YOUR award. You made Rare Breed what it is.

To our coaches — you pour yourselves into this gym every single day. This one’s for you.

You know, a lot of people are obsessed with working out. However, there is also a strong number of people who workout who simply wouldn’t workout if they didnt have access to their friends, coaches, good music, and accountability.

They intially show up because they need to for health reasons or another sorts and it turns into the place they want to be the most.

We hear and see it all the time — “just rest, it’ll feel better.” “If you stop doing X, it’ll get better.” But that advice is quietly making your pain worse.

When you stop moving, muscles weaken, joints lose stability, and your body becomes more sensitive to pain — not less. Rest deconditions you. Movement heals you.

Strength training rebuilds tissue, improves blood flow, and retrains your nervous system to stop treating normal movement like a threat. It outperforms passive treatment for back, knee, hip, and shoulder pain consistently.

Pain isn’t a stop sign. It’s a signal to get stronger.
