Another Rawlings Liberty headed to a high school softball player. This one was purchased intending to be a backup, but might just turn into the primary!đĽ
Iâve broken in quite a few of these, and they consistently impress me with the quality you get for the price. Theyâre a really solid option for players who want a quality glove without spending a fortune.
This one came in brand new and left with the shape, pocket, and hinges all working the way they should.
1-day turnaround and ready to go.
If youâve got a new glove sitting around waiting to be broken in, thereâs no reason to let it sit there. Get it taken care of now and have it ready when you need it.

Brand new glove. 12-year-old catcher. Illinois bound. âžď¸
This Rawlings R9 Catcherâs Mitt came in brand new and needed to be turned into a mitt thatâs ready for the field.
I broke it in with the right shape and pocket, then added an All-Star Lace-On Wrist Guard for a little extra protection and confidence behind the plate.
The goal is to make the mitt game-ready without taking away what makes a new glove special.** This one is headed back to Illinois ready to work.
If youâve got a new glove sitting at home waiting to become a game glove, donât wait until the week before you need it.

How bad is too bad for a glove?
Iâve shown this Wilson A2000 YP66 before, but it was early in the life of this page, so most of you probably never saw it.
And I wanted to bring it back because itâs a great example of something I get asked about:
âIs this glove too far gone?â
This one was BAD.
It had been sitting on a shelf for a long time after being broken in incorrectly. The shape was rough, the pocket was non-existent, and the hinges had no usable function.
But hereâs the important lesson:
A glove looking terrible does not necessarily mean the glove is ruined.
Before deciding a glove needs to be replaced, you have to look at what is actually wrong with it.
Thatâs where I come in.
This A2000 needed some serious work, but once I got everything working together again, it turned into a really nice glove.
So if you have an old glove sitting in a closet, on a shelf, or on the counter because you think itâs too far gone:
Donât automatically throw it away.
Sometimes it doesnât need to be replaced.
It needs to be brought back to life.
Thatâs one of my favorite parts of this work.
This Wilson A1000 softball glove had the player ready to give up on it.
The shape wasnât right, the hinges werenât working the way they should, and the pocket wasnât giving the glove the feel it needed. Instead of replacing it, I reshaped the glove, fixed the hinges, and rebuilt the pocket to get everything working together.
A good glove doesnât always need to be replaced. Sometimes it just needs the right adjustments and a proper break-in.
This one is back in shape and ready to go. đĽ

Another catcherâs mitt ready for fall ball!
This Wilson A2K catcherâs mitt came in brand new and stiff as a brick. Instead of spending months fighting a new mitt, we got it properly broken in and shaped so itâs ready to go from Day 1 of fall ball.
We also added an All-Star Lace-On Wrist Guard to finish it off. đŞđĄď¸
If youâve got a brand-new glove sitting at home waiting to be broken in, now is the time. Fall ball is right around the corner, and thereâs no reason to start the season with a glove that isnât ready.

This 44 Catcherâs Mitt came in from South Dakota with a flat pocket and a problem that every catcher knows â balls were popping out when they should have been secured. A little pocket work and reshaping got this mitt back where it needed to be, giving it a much better pocket and helping keep the ball where it belongs.
