Our pool is closed until further notice. Earlier today, our ventilation system stopped functioning, which has caused extreme heat and humidity in the pool area. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we are pausing all pool use while our team works to resolve the issue.

We will keep you informed as the day progresses and provide updates as soon as conditions improve.

Please be aware that Mersington is closed for through traffic due to the repaving of Linwood Blvd.

To access the Y during this construction:

You may enter through our North parking lot,
OR

Take 31st Street, come up the north side of Mersington, and turn left into our parking lot.

What a day for the Linwood Y. We were graced with the presence of a legend, who was an integral part of the Linwood YMCA.

It was my honor to spend some valuable time with Harold Mezile, the first Executive Director of the Linwood YMCA when the building opened in 1975.

He later became President and CEO at YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities. Mr. Mezile was, and still is passionate in the development of African Americans in leadership positions within the YMCA.

As a patriarch and a legend within the movement, he's recognized as such in the twin cities where the Harold Mezile North Community YMCA is located.
