Marisol Flores was unopposed in her weight class at National's...but she didn't go to be unopposed! Marisol moved up two weight classes to box at National's. Not only did she box, she stopped her opponent in the final to clinch the championship!

There are local heroes and community activists everywhere around us. All too often we rarely see them as they just simply help, just work, just contribute - always. There is a Community Center by our Lodge - The Whatsoever Community Center. In the basement of the Community Center the Whatsoever Boxing Club has been continuously in operation since 1941, turning kids into adults and training in the same ring that past WCC Golden Glove Champions used.
This evening Mt. Washington Lodge No. 614, with the help of Raytown Lodge No. 391 and the Masonic Home Creating-A-Partnership Program, were humbled and honored to be able to present a check to Coach Steven Holden for $3000 to help with new equipment and to keep the great work they do moving forward. While there, we also met MariSol Flores, ranked No. 1 in the Country at 154lbs, ranked No. 3 Isaiah Holdern Gutierrez at 119 lbs, and ranked 10th Isaac Perez Holden at 106lb!
