Come see Kira in Along The Way at the City Stage in Union Station on April 18th at 7:30 pm and April 19th at 3 pm.

Kira has been dancing for 12 years gaining knowledge and technique in Ballet, Pointe, Horton, Graham, Lamon, Hawkins, Lyrical, Tap, and Contemporary.
She has been teaching for 3 years and assistant teaching for 6 years all ages and abilities. She hopes to one day have her own studio that specializes in providing a space where all ages and special abilities are welcomed to learn, dance, and perform!
Currently Kira is a company member at City In Motion and Maranatha, she is substitute teaching all over the KC metropolitan area and is a barista. She loves dance and performing and passing that joy on to the next generations.

Born in Oronogo, Missouri, Elease began her dance training with Heather Briley (Joplin) in various classical, commercial, and contemporary forms of dance from 2005-2021 before completing her degrees at Missouri State University (Springfield) in 2025. Since graduating she has signed and performed / choreographed with DoMENance (Webb City), Boundless Contemporary Dance Company (Springfield), City in Motion (Kansas City), Brass&Bones Cabaret (New Orleans), and [in]Flux (Springfield). Having worked with notable names such as Brandon Coleman, Ilana Goldman, Azaria Hogans, Brittney Banaei, and Kehinde Ishangi, McFall is a passionate mover and creator with a deeply embedded loyalty to exploration and all things “strange.”

A native of Topeka, Kansas, Erinn began her pre-professional training at Kansas Ballet Academy. She is a 2020 graduate of the University of Kansas, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Her training includes ballet, pointe, modern, contemporary, tap, and jazz. Erinn has performed works by Patrick Suzeau, Jerel Hilding, Enid Smith, and more. She is currently an educator and choreographer at Kansas Ballet Academy. An avid proponent of strength training for dancers, Erinn is also a certified personal trainer and a certified barre instructor. In 2025, she earned her certificate in Dance Education from Regional Dance America.

Victoria began dancing at the age of five at Western Arkansas Ballet, under Melissa Schoenfeld, Jared Mesa, and Brianna Mesa. While there, she was a member of their pre-professional dance company and participated in the Regional Dance America Southwest Festival annually. During the summers, she attended the Burklyn Ballet Theatre summer intensive and was given the opportunity to travel to Scotland to perform in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019. Victoria recently earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During her studies, she performed pieces by Tom Gold, Christopher Huggins, Ronald Tice, Gary Abbott, Tobin James, Tempe Ostergren, DeeAnna Hiett, and Caroline Dahm. Currently, Victoria is a dance teacher at Encore at the J and Westside Dance Company and is also pursuing her Masters in Arts Management from the University of Oklahoma’s online program.

Clara Houske was born and raised in Åkersberga, Sweden, and moved to Kansas City to pursue a degree in dance from University of Missouri Kansas City. She graduated in 2025 with her Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. Since graduating, Clara has had the opportunity to work with City in Motion Dance Theatre, and Quixotic Fusion. She has also had the opportunity to choreograph for the Nelson Atkins Party Arty and EKHO duo. This is Clara’s first season with City in Motion and she is excited to be a part of this show!

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Lillian Himmelberg began her formal dance training at Ibsen Dance Theater in 2008. She went on to graduate summa cm laude from the University of Missouri–Kansas City Conservatory, earning a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography with an emphasis in ballet and modern. Lillian has performed works by renowned choreographers including José Limón, Christopher Huggins, Gary Abbott, Christina Burton, and Tempe Ostergren. Professionally, she has danced with Kim Robards Dance, That’s Entertainment KC, and Quixotic. Lillian is excited to be performing with City in Motion.

Anna Parks began dancing on Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts at Rise Vineyard Performing Arts. Anna trained in many styles of dance and competed nationally, and was awarded Dancer of the Year by American Dance Awards. She also studied at Walnut Hill School of the Arts, American Dance Festival, Boston Conservatory, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet. She then attended Purchase College Conservatory of Dance and received her BFA in Dance Performance with a concentration in Classical Ballet, under the instruction of Rosanna Seravalli, and Bettijane Sills. During her time at Purchase Anna performed in new works from Ja’Malik, Eve Chan, and Jenelle Figgins. Anna has performed as part of New England Ballet Theatre, Boston Dance Theater, and Mareck Dance dancing in works created by Noelle Kayser, Kristopher Estes Brown, and Karen Mareck Grundy. Anna is also a certified Pilates instructor, personal trainer and dance teacher.

Aili is 23 years old, originally from Oronogo, MO. Aili obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Material Physics from Missouri State University in 2025, along with additional minors and certificates in Dance, French, and Mathematics. Aili has been dancing since she was 5 years old, originally training in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, and Jazz dance forms. In more recent years, she has focused her movement style within postmodern and contemporary frameworks. Aili has also worked as a dancer with Boundless Contemporary Dance Company, performing featured work set by Brandon Coleman. Her choreographic work is currently investigating the intersections of physics and dance, specifically on non-codified dance forms. This embodied research seeks to consider physics principles that are exemplified on the dancing body and use these relationships as creative and choreographic inspiration.
