The United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) Best Squad Competition is one of the Army Reserve's premier events, bringing together elite Soldiers from across the country to compete in a demanding test of physical fitness, military skills, teamwork, leadership, and mental toughness. Competitors are challenged through a series of events designed to identify the most capable and combat-ready squad in the Army Reserve.
We're incredibly proud to share that CrossFit 816 athlete Campbell King was a member of the squad that earned the title of USARC Best Squad Champion this May.
Military readiness requires much more than strength alone. It demands endurance, resilience, work capacity, discipline, and the ability to perform under pressure—all qualities that are built through consistent training and a commitment to fitness. While CrossFit isn't military training, the foundation it develops translates exceptionally well to the physical demands placed on our nation's service members.
Watching one of our own contribute to a championship team at this level is a reminder that fitness has a purpose far beyond the gym floor. We're honored to play a small role in helping athletes prepare for whatever challenges life, work, service, or competition place in front of them.
Congratulations, Campbell, and thank you for your service. We couldn't be more proud of you and your team's accomplishment.
