Richard Hunt created Growing for the City of Leawood using his signature combination of geometric forms and flowing abstract shapes.
Originally installed outside City Hall, the sculpture was relocated to the Tomahawk Creek Parkway Sculpture Park following the library expansion, where it continues to invite visitors to decide for themselves what they see.

The Loose Park Fountain has become one of Kansas City's most recognizable park landmarks, but its story began long before the fountain was installed.
The park was established in 1927 when Ella Loose donated the land in memory of her husband, Jacob Loose, and the fountain has continued that tradition of remembrance through the generosity of the Cramer family and Air-O-Lator Corporation.
