Sometimes we like to pretend we do "not-bike" stuff in our off hours... But if we're honest, even stuff that's not about bikes is still about bikes.

Thanks to CHDT bringing Transportation Camp students out to the shop to learn about bike share and public transportation!

Are you headed to the Overland Park Farmers Market this weekend? Here's a couple of friendly tips:
πŸ₯¦ Use the Bike Share KC app to plan where to park before you get to the market. It's a popular place, and it's not a good idea to try to bike through the crowd.
πŸ₯• Our baskets can hold up to 15 lbs, and don't forget to bring a bag so your veggies don't fall out of the basket.
πŸ… Stack your haul carefully! A perfect garden tomato smashed through the basket is enough to ruin a whole weekend. 😭

Parking tips πŸ” for Bike Share KC riders!
πŸ’š Lock up and end your trip for FREE at official Bike Share KC hubs. (find them on the app)

🟑 For a $2 out-of-hub fee, Kansas City (Missouri), Kansas City (Kansas), North Kansas City, Overland Park, and Aspiria campus riders may lock up to a public bike rack, or street sign within our service area. (find service area boundaries on the app) Lenexa riders may end their trip *only* at an official Bike Share KC hub.

πŸ›‘ You may incure fines if you end your trip without locking up to a fixed object (like a bike rack), keep the bike on private property, or leave the bike blocking sidewalks, handrails, ramps, transit stops, etc.

What we know about biking to ⚽ KC Stadium for the last match in KC:

πŸ’š YES! You can ride to the stadium. From the west,
take the Brush Creek/Blue River Trail. You can lock up
in the monitored bike parking area and take the shuttle
up the hill to the stadium.

From the south, ride the Rock Island Trail and lock up
at the official stadium bike racks at the trailhead near
Lot L.

πŸ’š YES! You can ride to a match! Here
are some tips for a smooth ride:

* Bike SHARE means that when you end your trip, that
bike is available for someone else to ride. Consider an
Explorer Pass that will let you lock up and leave the
meter running for 4 hours at a time at a reduced cost.

* Neither the Blue River Trailhead nor the Rock Island
Trailhead are official Bike Share KC hubs. You can
definitely park there, but expect a $2 out-of-hub fee if
you end your trip.

Visit BikeShareKC.com for more info about bike share,
plus a link to that really great map we
recommend.
