Your practice can transport you forward, backward… deeper into now. Sometimes our bodies stay on the mat while the mind rushes through minutes, days and lifetimes. Philosophy implore us to “stay present,” but we are composed of time and experience and moments but, we are time capsules. We are years… and stories and postures and starting and stopping. Unrolling, burning, reaching, crying out and holding in. We are poems and chapters and books of a lifetime. A million pages of infinite chapters.

But I keep the lights on in my heart.
We all experience these things… but don’t let it darken your doorstep for the good people out there. Just look a little more thoroughly thru the peep hole. ❤️

My best friend is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known.

She’ll skip the party to talk the problem through AGAIN and enlists along side me in every battle I face. She’s the “who are we fighting?” kind of friend that just as willingly helps me hoist a white flag or harvest and deliver an olive branch… she’s an experienced war buddy… the kind that knows more bombs are headed our way but in the meantime says, “come here and look at the gorgeous sunset right now!”
She’s a “theres more where that came from” kind of person so she’s prepared to embody more joy OR resilience come what may.

When the axe falls she says, “Well, now we know what to do when this happens!” and finds a perfect playlist for cleaning up and starting over.

She knows that joy is a necessary supplement to pain and suffering.

We’ve shared the best worst stories of our lives which are etched on each others hearts like initials carved on ancient trees. They can’t can’t be erased or removed… the tree feels the wound and grows in spite of it.
