This year, the Inland Tour will travel throughout the Kansas City metro, showcasing the incredible beach volleyball facilities our region has to offer. Join us as we launch another exciting season of competition!

✔ Registration closes Thursday at Midnight
❌ No refunds after registration closes
✔ Boys & Girls divisions (12U/14U/16U/18U)
✔ Players may play up but not down (unless grade eligible)
✔ Coaches must be registered to be on the beach
✔ Live scoring through VolleyballLife—please arrive signed into your account
✔ Tournament information will be emailed 24–48 hours before the event
✔ Late teams will not delay tournament start times
✔ If a division fills, join the waitlist—we may be able to open additional spots!

This fall, we're bringing something completely NEW to the Kansas City beach volleyball community!

For the FIRST TIME EVER, Centerline North is dedicating a PRIME TIME Sunday evening exclusively to youth beach volleyball!

🚫 No league September 6 (Labor Day Weekend)

Your pair will be matched with another pair to create a Quad team, giving every athlete more teammates, more strategy, more touches, and more opportunities to compete—similar to Queen & King of the Beach, but built around pairs!

Kingdom Beach VB Community! A lot of new things are coming to Kingdom beach but one change we are making now to make matches, competition, leagues, tournaments more enjoyable is we will be moving toward ranking system using TruVolley. This cannot be used or replace a Regional or National tournament where we have to meet Affiliate guidelines like Grad Year, DOB, etc.

# Kingdom Beach Competitive Placement Guidelines

# # # Using TruVolley Ratings to Create the Best Playing Experience

At Kingdom Beach, our goal is simple:

**Create the most competitive, enjoyable, and development-focused matches possible for every athlete.**

Unlike traditional events that separate divisions strictly by age or grade, many Kingdom Beach leagues are moving to **ability-based**. This allows athletes to compete against others with similar skill levels, resulting in longer rallies, better competition, increased development, and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

# # How Divisions Are Determined

Kingdom Beach uses **TruVolley Ratings** as the primary guideline for placement.

Because boys and girls are rated in separate player pools, the same numeric rating does **not** necessarily represent the same competitive level. To create fair competition in mixed-gender leagues, Kingdom Beach uses the following competitive equivalency chart.

# # Mixed-Gender Competition

Kingdom Beach welcomes boys and girls competing together whenever the competitive levels are appropriately matched.

Our objective is **competitive balance—not competitive advantage.**

Placement decisions are based on comparable competitive ability so that:

* Matches remain competitive for both teams.
* Athletes are challenged without being overmatched.
* Every participant has a positive experience.
* Player development is prioritized over mismatched results.

# # Additional Placement Factors

While TruVolley is our primary guideline, Kingdom Beach may also consider:

* Tournament history
* Recent match results
* Strength of opponents played
* Partner history
* Sample size of rated matches
* Coach recommendations (when appropriate)
* Recent improvement or extended inactivity

These factors help ensure athletes are placed where they can compete successfully.

# # Placement Adjustments

Kingdom Beach reserves the right to adjust an athlete's division before or during league play if their registered division is clearly above or below their demonstrated competitive level.

These adjustments are intended to improve the experience for all participants—not as a penalty.
