Our Kansas 14U GHW competitors wrestled extremely well these past couple of days helping their team secure 3rd place in the Copper/Bronze Division equating to 11th in the country at the age-based national dual tournament.
These performances included an All Greco Tournament Team honor by Grant Lottmann who went 8-0. Luke Taussig and Andrew Taussig both went 7-1 and Jed Spencer finished 6-2. Waylon Miller wrestled tough and was a contributing factor to the team’s success. He’s on the verge of similar results and is dedicated to improving his craft in the Olympic styles.
All 5 of these athletes commit to private lessons, multiple weekly workouts and understand that if you want to be at the top of the food chain you have to love to put in the work associated with the climb.
Outstanding job! On to Freestyle next.

Congrats to Coach Glenn Rhees for being named the Southern Plains Regional Greco Developmental Coach of the Year!
What he has done at Greater Heights Wrestling and elsewhere in a short two year period is phenomenal. The numbers that he has procured to embrace Greco-Roman wrestling and the techniques and strategies being taught have pushed Missouri and Kansas wrestling to new levels.
Thank you Coach Glenn for your leadership, commitment and dedication to Olympic wrestling styles. Moreover, these attributes have propelled our club and those athletes embracing the climb. Your role as coach and mentor are greatly appreciated!

Our coaches! We have leveled up these past couple of years in adding to our coaching staff with coaches who consistently put in the work, lead by example in showing up, showing out and giving full effort while having a championship mindset and attitude.
Thank you Coach Tess, Coach Casper, Coach Isaiah, Coach Glenn, Coach Colin, Coach Cubby, Coach V!
We will be adding a few more high level coaches to the staff that just finished their college competitive careers in coming weeks so be prepared for the staff to keep climbing just like the rest of the program.

Today is about more than a finish on the podium.
A huge thank you to Coaches Casper Sherow and Isaiah Gutierrez for leading this team to the best Elementary Greco-Roman finish in Missouri Girls National Team history; a 3rd place finish and a trip to the Gold Bracket.
What makes this accomplishment even more impressive is that they took a roster built around freestyle success and helped them believe, compete, and excel in Greco. That doesn’t happen by accident; It happens because of leadership, preparation, and an unwavering commitment to these athletes.
Casper and Isaiah lead with passion, energy, and a genuine love for the growth of women’s wrestling. They have become two of the strongest advocates for girls wrestling in Missouri, investing countless hours into helping these young athletes reach their potential both on and off the mat.
As parents, coaches, and supporters, we are incredibly grateful for the trust, care, and dedication they pour into this program. The respect and confidence this team has in them is evident every time these girls step on the mat.
Thank you, Coach Casper and Coach Isaiah, for believing in our athletes, representing Missouri with pride, and helping raise the standard for women’s wrestling in our state.

Southern Plains Regional Results:
17 Freestyle Medalists
19 Greco Medalists
We had 4-5 other athletes in each style make it to the consolation semis but in the youth age groups they only placed top 4 so those athletes did not get to wrestle for 5th.
This was by far our biggest showing at a FRECO regional. Our parents, athletes and coaches understand the value and importance of competing in the Olympic styles and chasing national placings and championships.

Greater Heights 2026 FRECO State Competitors produce a record-breaking accomplishment with the club surpassing 100 total state placers with 56 state champions and 87 athletes finishing top 2 in the state. That’s just this FRECO season alone!!!
Thank you to all our athletes, parents and coaches that pour into the program. We are making what seems like an improbability a reality! Day by day, step by step - we climb.
