Buck O'Neil 2.2 Mile Walk & 5K Run

Event presented by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, MO The event is part of the annual Buck O'Neil birthday celebration.

The Buck O'Neil Walk/Run now features a 5K Run, a 2.2 mile (or 3K) walk, through the 18th & Vine historic district of Kansas City, MO. The "2.2" mile distance honors the uniform number and memory of John "Buck" O'Neil (1911-2006), Negro League baseball legend and former chairman of the museum. Proceeds benefit the NLBM. The course route will pass historic and scenic landmarks such as Parade Park, 12th Street & Vine marker, Blues Stadium site, and the Paseo YMCA.
