What a wild ride this weekend.! Sean, Andres and Doc all fought every minute of every round. They all faced great opponents who pulled out the best in them. Always lessons and takeaways when you fight the best but I couldnt be more proud of their performances. We proved once again we're able to compete with the best of them.
Thank you to everyone from Low Kick who helped be a part of this journey. We do it not as a team, but as a family.
Thank you to the the staff and officials for all they do for this amazing sport. But after every joy, after every cheer and after every win... let us never forget...

To God be all the glory, honor and praise. 🙏

What an amazing tournout for the Lerdsila Seminar. The entire gym was packed out.! 67 athletes, from all different gyms came together to support the growth of muay thai. This is what it's all about.
The energy was crazy and Lerdsila kept us laughing the entire seminar. We're looking forward to bringing more of this to Kansas City.
To God be the glory 🙏

We're so proud of our boys last night. For Mickey and Evan, it was their very first fight but they fought like seasoned athletes. And Andres gave one of the most beautiful and destructive displays of his career. It was an amazing night.

Thank you to our team who came out to support the boys. That's what the Low Kick family is all about. Thank you to all the officials and workers who made the event run smoothly. Thank you to Benjamin Nogueras for putting on another amazing card and giving fighters a chance to live out their dreams. And thank you to Jake Stiers who helped step in and corner a fighter who didn't have a team with him.

As always, even with all the shouts, screams, joys, victories and chaos.... to God be the glory. 🙏

PSA... If you're not clinching, you're just kickboxing. 🤷‍♂️ Get closer and hug each other; with a few knees and elbows..!

*** Striking In Reverse ***
Here's one of the drills we use to deal with the 3 types of fighters.
*Passive (comes forward rarely. Pocket fighter)
*Medium (pushes the pace more frequently)
*Heavy (comes forward the entire fight)
If you've been in the game long enough, you've been on the receiving end of a pressure fighter.
These drills allow you to strike WITH power as you disengage. Once your strikes have landed, you then have to option to angle off and then re-engage the fight.
We will show the drills first with gloves/shin guards, and then we will show them with pads to prove that there can be power while striking in reverse.

Great weekend of fights at the TBA Classic. All the boys fought super tough fighters. We won some and we didn't. Brought home two bronze and one silver.
They gave every second of every round of every fight. Some of the fights were so close, that we and their opponents corner looked across the ring at each other and just stared because we truly had no idea who won and exactly how it should be when the best in the US compete.

Fighting is a game of inches. One inch too close and you get hit. One inch too far and you miss your shot. It's all about who can calculate those inches the best.

Congratulations to every team who competed. Thank you too all the volunteers, workers, hotel staff, EMS services, video production staff, refs and officials. And a super big THANK YOU to Pete and Pam Peterson for putting on the greatest muay thai show on the planet.

So proud of the boys this weekend. They both fought great opponents and gave every minute, of every round. No belts this time but they both finished in the semi finals and took home bronze.

This was the first time we've attended this event but definitely not the last. The judging, the reffing and overall running of the tournament was AMAZING. Huge shout out to Michael Corley, Pete Peterson, Sean Madden and every ref/official for giving all these young athletes a stage to perform on.

Great day of fights.!
Coach Sean moves on to the semi-finals tomorrow.
Darko fought a tough fighter in a clinch battle that went all 3 rnds but we didn't get the "W" so he walks away with 3rd place.
Both these boys gave everything in the ring today and we literally couldn't be more proud.
We'll rest up tonight and come back tomorrow to push Coach Sean forward.
