Police Officer Has Qualified Immunity After Fatally Shooting Dog 08/23/2023

Qualified Immunity!!!

No regards to my safety or the fear I had when a gun is shot less than 5 feet from me multiple times in my direction, towards my home. No regards to my rights or even their own policies. Standing over me, weapons still drawn, like a couple bullies as I comfort my dying fur baby trying to make since out of what just happened.
Even when it's all recorded on video and audio, we have no rights when the system is corrupt. When the people sworn to obey and unhold the law, are above the law. They are allowed to trespass, fail to announce themselves when the knock, discharge their weapons toward an unarmed civilian in the middle of the night, all because they are fearful of their safety cause it was dark. If so scared why they park almost 1/8 mile away and walk in the dark, why not announce yourself, why let me go inside by myself? Its all a bunch of bs!! No investigation what so ever into the officers actions, no recourse for their actions? Why start a course on handling dog encounters at the police academy after the incident?

Police Officer Has Qualified Immunity After Fatally Shooting Dog A police officer who fatally shot a dog while responding to a mistaken report of a domestic disturbance can’t be sued by her owners, the Eighth Circuit affirmed Thursday.
