Aladun Afro Latin Dance School

The foundation and essence of Salsa music is African. Salsa wouldn’t be what it is today without the contributions of Black-American jazz musicians. Afro-Cuban Jazz is heavily influenced by American Jazz (Chano Pozo & Dizzy Gillespie). As Salsa continues to grow and evolve, we should strive to extend its history, not erase it and remain connected to the roots that make it what it is today.

So cheers to the contributions of Black-Americans to Salsa music. We celebrate you. ✨
