🌎 Happy Earth Month! Save the date for the celebration of our parks and our planet at Spring on April 25 from 12-3 PM! Enjoy crafts, hands on learning, and entertainment from Richard Renner, Animal Ambassadors from Lakeside Nature Center of KC, and the Green Carpet Fashion Show!

Our exhibitors will be hosting crafts and activities for everyone to participate in! Bring old clothes to exchange in the clothing swap, an old t-shirt to turn into a tote bag, create friendship bracelets out of recycled materials, and more!

Exhibitors: Heartland Conservation Alliance , KC Parks Community Centers, KC Office of Environmental Quality, KC Parks Ambassadors, Lakeside Nature Center of KC, Missouri Stream Team, Re.Use.Full, The Sewing Labs, and Thrift The Runway!

🪡 There's still time to be part of the Green Carpet Fashion Show! Highlighting makers of all ages and skill levels, the fashion show is an opportunity to show off how you turn trash into fashion! There is no cost to submit a design or participate. This year's featured designer, Ryleigh Hightree from R_Design will showcase how she revives thrifted items into stylish new pieces.

Last week, Spring Break campers took a trip to soak up some rays at Missouri Dept. of Conservation's Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center. Each team earned a "black out" on their Nature Scavenger Hunt Bingo!
