Week 6 at The Team Believe Track Meet in KCMO has come and gone. Today’s meet is in memory the son of Dr. Blackstock, the meet host, who was murdered two years ago. For those that may not know, My nephew was tragically shot and killed last September due to senseless violence. While these moments are heavy, they also remind us why community, love, mentorship and pouring into our youth matters so much. Their legacies will live on through our actions daily 🙏

We are so proud of all our Legion Athletes that competed yesterday: Evie, Charlotte, Pejuta, Alayla, Henry, Krew, Deacon, Ike, Kaiston, Korbin, Peyton, Nora and those that medaled.

Stay hungry, keep working and trust that everything else will fall into place. Back to work as we go for Meet #7 in our season finale in Overland Park!

Week 5 at our LHS Homecoming Meet was one for the books. Fun competition, new events, big smiles and memories made in front of our home crowd. Proud of every athlete who stepped out there, challenged themselves and competed the right way. Special shoutout to the athletes and coaches of the LHS Track & Field program for working this event after their own league meet the day before. Thank you for helping grow the next generation of athletes. The older kids taking care of the littles, thats how you build TRADITION and FUTURE SUCCESS! Seeds are being planted, we will continue to nurture them and watch them grow.

Week 4 in Leavenworth, our hardwork is starting to show itself with every opportunity we get to compete. Proud of every athlete who stepped out there and competed: Evie, Nora, Saylah, Charlotte, Aaro, Aiden, Henry, Bodhi, Rueben, Krew, Korbin, Ryker, CJ, Ariella, Aubrielle, Demari, Otto, Callan. We showed up!
We celebrate you but we don’t want to settle. Stay hungry, keep working, and trust that everything else will fall into place. Back to work we go for Meet #5 at home in Lawrence!

Since the inception of the SuperSonix, our Moms have been the heartbeat of this program. I always believed that if we kept mom informed, connected and engaged, they would believe in what we were building. You all have done so much more than believe, you’ve helped build it.

From the All my “forced” 😆 Mom vs. Son scrimmages in every sport 🏈 🏀 ⚽️ ⚾️ to the growth and rebrand into Lawrence Legion, our family only got stronger. We didn’t just grow a program we are forming a community like I remember growing up. This first inaugural track season has brought a brand new world of experiences: early mornings, long days, emotions, lessons, and memories. Just like Moms always do, you all handled it with grace, strength, patience, and love. You have adapted, supported, encouraged and kept showing up for your young athletes every single step of the way.

As a true Mama’s Boy, all I can say is this: You all are the BEST!

Spring ⚾️🥎 training is HERE and we’re rolling. A lot of new faces which means one thing… REPS on REPS on REPS, did I say more REPS. We’re building, learning and going to grow day by day.
Always loved baseball/softball because of the lessons you learn from it. When it gets tough, when things don’t go your way, you keep swinging. You stay locked in. You trust the work.

Season’s just getting started. Let’s grind, Let’s grow, Let’s goooooooooooo!

This week has been ACTION PACKED 💥
After 4 weeks of putting in the work, learning, growing and building confidence…we’re ready to compete in our 1st track meet in Girard, KS!
This is just the beginning, we’re excited to see our athletes showcase everything they’ve been grinding for. Stay focused, trust your training, just compete and everything else will take care of itself.
And to top it off, last night we were honored to receive the Lion’s Leg Award 🏆
This recognition means a lot, it speaks to the Legion Code. It’s about showing up for our kids, creating opportunities, developing strong, respectful, hard working young people along the way.
We will continue to build this thing together, that’s my commitment.
Let’s keep growing, keep showing up and raising the standard daily🙏

No fancy plays called from the sideline, just “go long, in, out” then you huddle up and do it again
We taking it “OLD SCHOOL” Backyard Football vibes plus mixing it with “NEW SCHOOL” structure, teaching the fundamentals in the process.

🏈 And falling in the grass like the good ol’ days
Because at the end of the day…
SPORTS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN!!!!!!
