Houston cannot decide if it is winter or summer. Today it is cold (and yes I know that my Idaho family is laughing at me!) but it is pull out coats cold.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
But in two days is will be in the 80's. I really wish that it would be consistent...it would be fantastic if I could predict what the weather would be like starting from a certain date...​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
But I can't.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
And you cannot expect the same from your brain.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
We all like to think that things should be consistent. That things should be the same or predictable.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Often we think, "I've dealt with that" (like Houston summers) and I don't want to deal with it again.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
So when the problems keep coming, we seemed shocked. And frustrated.. And perhaps really angry that we can't move on from it.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
Here's the thing, as we grow our perspective of the problem changes. But if haven't dealt with the stuff underneath... the idea that things can change... That it won't be predictable...​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
You will continue to feel angry, frustrated and stuck.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
You won't move forward.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
But this can be changed. You can reprogram your subconscious beliefs to create new ideas.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
You can step into your own energy and accept the things that come, or change them to help you grow.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
And your emotions won't seem to take over. You can have greater awareness even when it feels overwhelming.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​

A few weeks ago I went somewhere amazing… I did something I never imagined and have the pictures to prove it.

Yet I still can’t believe I really did that.

There are many things in life that are the same…when it comes to achieving a goal, building a business or a triumph over something, we all seem to say “did I really do that?”

Before you start planning for next year, take a minute and look at all you have accomplished.

Write it out. And celebrate the big and small things.

Imposter Syndrome will sneak out when you cannot acknowledge even the smallest of accomplishments.

So before you look at what you want to accomplish in 2023, look at what you have accomplished this year and other years.

My clients are expanding their businesses, making waves in their industries, and finding balance without the overwhelm and burnout.

This week started off with mental health awareness. One of the things that I find really interesting about this is the fact that we don't spend enough time talking about the brain.

After all, our brain is central to our mental health. On this week's episode I talk about chemistry in the brain and how to create some of the good stuff.

A client that I met with emailed me after our session to say: "The most powerful moment for me was your almost off hand question of Why...."

How many of us have ever had a dilemma come up and then we think of all the things we can DO to fix it.

We think, if I just take more action, I can fix it. For instance:

My relationships will be better if I can just talk nicer

I can grow my business if I just have all the right systems in place.

I will be more productive when I have a calendar and can schedule all my tasks

I will love myself after I exercise, lose 100 lbs, eat better etc..

But the truth is, you cannot just fix all of these problems if you don't ask the powerful questions behind the curtains.

There are two powerful questions to start asking yourself:

WHY is this a problem?

WHAT stands in the way of me getting what I want?

Imagine asking, "Why is this a problem?" and uncovering some of the real reason why you procrastinate, feel tired all the time, yell at your kids or any of the 100 other things you want to do differently.

Or asking yourself "What stands in my way?" and uncovering some beliefs about yourself, or the thing you are working on that have you hiding from everything else.

The question I asked my client changed the way they were viewing their business.

And I ask powerful questions every time I meet with a client. Are you ready to have a powerful conversation where one question may change the course of your life? If so, message me to set up a consult.
