When designing this program, I wanted to choose several different general testing points that would directly correlate with the demands that Cricket and Baseball place on the body. Here are 4 examples🏋🏽

#1: LEFT - Lower Extremity Functional Test. This test involves multiple movement patterns our athletes may use on game day, and requires a significant amount of neuromuscular control which directly translates to “athleticism”. How quickly can our athletes decelerate and accelerate reactively without fatiguing and losing movement efficiency. Aka Speed Endurance.

#2: Davies Test - This is a test of shoulder stability and agility which is extremely important with pitchers and bowlers. Athletes have to shift their weight from one hand to the other without showing any deviations in posture throughout the entire kinetic chain.

#3: 20m Sprint - Test of linear speed. 20m is the distance between wickets (cricket) and almost the distance between bases (baseball). So this is going to be an important test for coaches to see exactly how quickly their players can get to safety and earn some points.

#4: Broad Jump - Simple test of lower extremity power output and explosiveness.

This is discipline training. Making your bed requires discipline. Waking up to the first alarm requires discipline. Showing up for your workout after or before a long day of work requires discipline. Taking 10 minutes out of your busy day to sit down to breathe and meditate requires discipline. Recognize what micro battles you face on a daily basis. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Boxing is truly an art, and if you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend it. Not only am I more conditioned than I’ve ever been, but the mental training I get from boxing is almost addicting.
In the midst of pain, discomfort, and fatigue, you have no choice but to dig in and fight on. I love it. Y’all come join me for a few classes and let’s get busy💯🥊

But each battle you do win; creates another strong voice in your head, ready to carry you through the next challenge.
