I am often asked, "I am in this kind of shape (fill in the blank), can you help me get to my goals?"

Usually that comes from somebody that is hesitant to reach out because they feel like they are too out of shape to even have a chance.

Nothing could be further from the truth...

One of the most mis-trained parts of the human body is the core.

Having been mentored in core training by the legendary Paul Chek, I am excited to share one of his "big bang" exercises with you with the Swiss Forward Ball Roll.

Simple to execute, but it has progressions available that will challenge even the most advanced exercise enthusiast. Enjoy this one regardless of your fitness level.

I will explain the basics so that you can take off from here!

Have a great week, be good to yourself and always remember...

I used to have the opinion that there was no correlation between past trauma and how we take care of our physical body.

I have been more than humbled about my incorrect assumptions.

Trauma can mean different things to different people.

Whether it be through DYI self improvement, or with professional intervention, I would highly encourage you to look into your own past....

Even if you are thinking, "I don't have any trauma, I am good".

Stay open minded.

The book that helped me the most is The Presence Process. It is a POWERFULL process but takes a lot of dedication.

Here is to learning more about who you really are.

Have a great weekend my friends and remember...

Man, looking back at some of our past memories BEFORE GLP-1 agonists. It's amazing what the right dietary approach and lifestyle change can accomplish.

Ryan is amazing.

Have you ever noticed that when it comes to paying attention to certain body parts in the gym, that certain area's get more attention than others?

Think chest, and biceps.

Is there a teenage boy or guy that does not obsess over these?

Or glutes.

If you look at social media statistics, the amount of women to men accessing those videos is laughably disproportional.

But what about specific joints, or places that need to have mobility?

Think your wrists...

When is the last time you considered how important they are to your overall physical wellbeing?

Well, in today's new exercise I will describe why they are so important to your overall physical health.

Enjoy the video and the exercise and let me know how it goes for you!

What will be your weekend adventure?

For me, I am planning on hiking Ben Lomond Peak today.

Please comment as to what your active plans are for the weekend!

The Kettlebell Swing To Sn**ch is a hybrid Olympic lift that easily accommodates those in the intermediate or advanced categories of weight training.

"But why would I need an explosive lift when I am not training for sport?"

Fair Question.

Our bodies are designed to experience different loads, different tempo's and full ranges of motion at the joint level.

The problem is that in our 21st Century way of living we have severely limited our tempo of movement, our range of motion and our ability to move a load of weight forcefully and quickly, calling such movements "dangerous".

To be sure, you need adequate conditioning to perform a movement like this, but make no mistake, it is a powerful exercise that can help condition your shoulders, core and hips all in one.

I hope you enjoy and remember...

If you sit at a desk and you are 40+ this exercise is indispensable.

You can incorporate this into your everyday routine. At a minimum you should perform this at least 3 times per week.

And the best news? No equipment necessary and you can do it anywhere!

Enjoy my friends and remember...
