Dear 7th–12th Grade Athletes, Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for another exciting school year, we invite you to join us for our annual Kearney High All Athletics/NSAA Activities Meeting. Whether your student participates in athletics or any NSAA-sponsored activity, this meeting will provide important information to help ensure a successful year for everyone.

This meeting is designed to provide families with an overview of how Kearney High Athletics and Activities operate while sharing important expectations, policies, and resources for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.

Attendance Expectations
• Attendance is mandatory for all students in grades 9–12 who participate in athletics or any NSAA-sponsored activity.
• Attendance is strongly encouraged for all 7–12 student-athletes/activity participants and at least one parent or guardian representative from each family.

Fall sport meetings will immediately follow the parent meeting. Individual coaches will communicate their specific meeting locations and any additional information.

Our goal is to ensure every family begins the year informed, connected, and prepared for a successful experience. We believe strong communication and partnerships between families, coaches, sponsors, school staff, and parents are essential to maintaining the tradition of excellence that defines The Kearney Way.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, August 4, as we kick off another outstanding year of Bearcat Pride!

What an awesome June of summer camps!

We kicked off the month at our Bearcat Camp and had a blast. From there, we headed to the ISI Camp in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where the girls were pushed outside their comfort zones and challenged to grow.

After a quick two-day turnaround, we wrapped up the month at the UNK Team Camp, finishing June with more hard work, competition, and development.

I’m incredibly proud of these girls for taking time out of their busy summer schedules to invest in themselves and their wrestling. The work being put in now will pay off when the season rolls around.

The future is bright for Kearney Girls Wrestling!

Congrats Scott!! Definitely deserves this award!! He has been a huge part of our program and the success we have had! Such a great leader and we are glad this guy is on our side!

🚨 IT’S OFFICIAL! The NSAA will be adding a Girls State Dual Tournament for the 2026-27 season! Class A Girls will also be expanding from 56 to 64 teams.
