I could have slapped some black, white, purple and green on this dude with one shot and called it done. There will come a time I set it down and call it complete. Today is not that day.

Should be a fun one to finish out. A lot of highs and lows in the black, white and even purple.

Who knows there may be base coats applied soon. Going to draw in watercolor pencil on this dude a little before sanding on the primer coat. Have already drawn flow of feathers on the back while carving. There will be artistic license used on the paint that will reflect field markings that may be blown up

Local guy with some kit birds his father purchased in the 60’s and never did anything with. Plan of placing an appropriate era paint scheme on the birds. One mallard and the other is a blue bill. Will be a fun project, heads and bodies will be painted separately to keep them removable
