They fell just a few points short in a great back and forth game, but this team has nothing to hang their heads about! They wrap up their amazing CYO career with 2 Bergen County championship titles and a #2 overall finish in the entire archdiocese. A great team and great coaches that will all be greatly missed! Congratulations girls, we are so proud of you all!

Come on out tomorrow night as our Bergen County champion 8th grade girls Varsity Red team competes in the 5th Annual Tournament of Champions at the CYO Center in Kearny!

5:00 PM: Bergen (St John Hillsdale) vs Hudson (Hoboken Catholic)
6:00 PM: Essex (St Cassian) vs Union (Holy Trinity)
7:30 PM: Winners play for the Championship

Winner gets their name added to the giant TOC trophy to live on forever in CYO history. Come on down and cheer them on!!!

CHAMPIONS! 🏆 🏐

Congratulations to our 8th grade Varsity Red team who took home the Bergen County CYO championship today! The girls played their hearts out in a 2-set win over a great Sacred Heart team to cap off an amazing season and CYO career.

Their team will now take its place in the storied history of St. John's sports, becoming our first varsity volleyball champs in 8 years, and our first 2-time volleyball champs, having won the JV title 2 years ago.

They move on to the Tournament of Champions next weekend to take on the winners of the other 3 counties for the title of Archdiocese Champion.

And further congratulations are in order for our 6th grade JV White team who took home second place in a great 3-set match against St. Leo's that came down to a few points. What a season by them, as they take home the divisional trophy for #1 seed in the top Ace division.

Lots to be proud of by these teams and all our teams this season.

Two of our teams are still standing and will compete for the Bergen County CYO Championship TODAY at St. Leo’s in Elmwood Park!

📅 6th Grade JV White – 1:30 PM
Coach Maggie’s squad dominated all season (11–1!) and is heading into the championship after two strong playoff wins.

📅 8th Grade Varsity Red – 4:00 PM semifinal | 5:30 PM championship (with a win!)
Coaches Regina & Kim have this powerhouse team chasing one more title after a great 10–4 season and two big playoff victories.

Come out to St. John's tonight and MAKE SOME NOISE for our 8th grade Varsity Red team in their last ever home game as they compete for a chance to go to the semifinals on Sunday at St. Leo's. Game time 8:00 pm!

Tomorrow our 5/6 grade JV teams start their playoff journey in 3 different venues. Head out and show them some love!

- 10:00 AM (at Sacred Heart in Lyndhurst): JV Gold vs Queen of Peace. If we win we play again at 12:00pm & 2:00pm.

- 12:00 PM (at St. Paul in Ramsey): JV White vs Mt Carmel/St. Joes. If we win we play again at 2:00pm.

- 12:00 PM (at St. Leo in Elmwood Park): JV Red vs St. Peter/Corpus Christi. If we win we play again at 2:00pm & 3:00pm.

Volleyball playoffs start tonight! Come support St. John's 🏆 St. John’s families,Our Fall Volleyball regular season came to an end this weekend and we now move on to playoffs. Congratulations to all on a great season so far!

A great annual St. John's tradition was on display tonight as a packed house celebrated our 8th grade volleyball players who are wrapping up their CYO careers. They will certainly be missed, as will coaches Regina, Kim, Jenn and Liz who dedicated many hours over the years to these girls and put together this great night to celebrate them.

Big shout out to the 7th grade girls who took on both teams in friendly scrimmages and gave them quite a fight....without any subs.

Nights like these are what make the St. John's family so special. We wish all our teams success in the playoffs this week and all our 8th graders success in their next chapters!
