Tournament in a Box promotes primarily scholastic chess tournaments in New England in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont.

Tournament in a Box directed the 2021 Vermont Open last weekend with 36 players from 5 states playing. It was a pleasure to run this tournament and congratulations to Dave Carter (lower right) for winning the Championship in a very competitive field of players.

The 2021 Hooksett Scholastic was a great success and was the first over the board NHCA Scholastic event in almost 19 months! Thanks to the all the volunteers, parents, kids and the Hooksett Library for making this fun day happen!

It was great to have these two great chess coaches, Jay Palmeri and Dan Kilgour together again at the World Academy tournament on Saturday. Chess coaches are the backbone of a strong scholastic community and we thank all chess coaches for their dedication and time!
