Our KPRD Team continues to grow 💚 Meet Veronica Parker, our new Recreation Specialist!
Veronica has been creating standout camp experiences since 2017, beginning with Peterborough Recreation and most recently as the Director of Camp Halfmoon. Since joining KPRD at the end of December, she has blended seamlessly into our team - hitting the ground running, bringing fresh ideas and positive energy, and already making a meaningful impact.
With seven years of camp leadership, Veronica brings a dynamic program-building style and a creative, solutions‑focused mindset that strengthens support for both staff and program participants. 💚 Welcome to Team KPRD!

Our urban forests don’t recover overnight — they recover through care, patience, and community. As regeneration begins, every small action matters:
🌿 giving young growth opportunity to thrive
🗑️ picking up litter along trails and roadsides
🚶 staying mindful in recovering areas
💚 taking pride in the shared spaces that belong to all of us
Healthy forests are built over time — thankful for our staff who helped pick up garbage and pile some of the larger debris in Dinsmoor Woods this week.
