Rebels 14u out of Longview, WA is looking for a couple girls to complete our roster. Looking for good athletes with positive mindsets. We are seeking girls who have played tournament middle infield before or who are athletic and willing to be coached.

Looking for the right fit to complete our team. We do not have any openings for girls who want to pitch or whose primary position in 1st base.

Please contact us if interested.

Last post about Nationals, promise!

Our sportsmanship trophy from last year was feeling lonely so we brought it back a friend from Nationals. Is that a weird flex? Probably but if there’s something worth flexing over, sportsmanship is definitely it.

Winning back to back NAFA Nationals as 12U and then 14U was incredible but winning the Sportsmanship award two years in a row had us all in our feels. We don’t take it lightly, we have high expectations from everyone, coaches, players, parents and fans and because of that the umpires and tournament staff awarded us the Sportsmanship award again.

It is 100% what it is all about and I know we’re doing something right when teams we beat earlier in the day come to the Championship game to root us on. That’s a great feeling!

One last time for the year, let’s go Rebels!

Words marked! ✅

This was a post from May 24 after a tournament. We were in a middle of a tough stretch where we went 3-9, had some tough roster changes and had a significant injury to a player, things were looking bleak.

We knew the coaches and families believed in the girls but nothing was going to make them better if they didn’t believe in themselves. We worked on those “failures” at practices and learned from them.

We finished off the season going 17-3. We know that’s a great W/L record but that didn’t make our season a success. We stayed the course and preached fundamentals, doing the little things and having fun. We talked about finishing the season strong, never quitting and winning the game in the 4th quarter of the season.

We knew our season was a success long before the last out of the Championship game. That was just the cherry on top of the sundae.

This is our village and they are amazing. The support from our families and fans has been outstanding. We couldn’t ask for a better group of families! I know there is a lot more people that have been to our games this year or have been watching on Game Changer. I hope you all know how much the coaches and players appreciate you! Thank you for a great season.

Not sure where to start but I think this is a good place!

Well we did it again, back to back NAFA Nationals Champions! Our route was a little different this year. We lost our first bracket game on Friday and had to win 4 straight on Saturday just to get to Sunday.

We won our first 2 games Sunday morning and found ourselves 1 win away from the Championship game. The game was a battle of the fatheads (each team had fatheads of the players on the fence, it was hilarious) us versus the McMinnville Grizzlies. Our girls were exhausted and were down 6-2 after the 2nd inning. In that moment I thought the girls had just run out of steam but with a bolt of lightning they scored 5 in the top of the 3rd and took back the lead. The Grizzlies tied it up in the 4th inning. We got to the last inning still tied, we scored 4 runs in the top of the inning with some timely hits and great base running. We shut them down in the bottom of the inning to advance to the Championship game.

Hats off to the McMinnville Grizzlies team on a great tournament. They were a classy opponent from top to bottom. Players were so well coached and we really enjoyed talking to them and all their fans, they were a vibe for sure. The future is bright for them.

On to the Championship game, our 8th game in 2 days. In all honesty we felt like we were the better team from top to bottom but we weren’t sure if our girls had enough energy in them. They had left it all on the field to get to that point. Oh boy were we wrong, they must of had something left in them because they exploded for 5 in the first inning and they never looked back. And just like last year the game ended with a beautiful change-up that dropped right behind the plate into the catchers glove.

We are the Rebels and we are 11 strong, NAFA Nationals Champions, #1 out of 23 teams.

Don’t worry more posts to come in the next few days! 😉
